Play as Dio, a young commander inspired by the old heroes from Greek mythos like Achilles, Hector, and Perseus. He uses spears, swords and shields to slay thousands of monsters attacking the city of Ithaca. Dio has yet to discover his true power with a wide selection of gear to be used, godlike powers to be summoned and entire new armies to be drafted for battle. This is a war for the fate of mankind.
The monsters that will try to breach your defense are many and varied. You'll need to think carefully about combat tactics and power balance, especially when dealing with legendary bosses.

The most important goal is to not let the enemy pass through the gate. Fight against the beasts and legendary tribes from Greek mythology. They will use all their might to break through your ranks and shatter the line of defense.
In battles, you must lead your army and think of the right strategies to face different enemies.

The mundane weapons of the world are not enough to repel the attacks of the mighty monsters. Dio needs the weapons with deadly power, the artifacts blessed by the Gods themselves.
Besides strategically arranging the armies, you'll need to upgrade them through battles to match the stronger and more unusual enemies. The classic skill tree upgrade system combined with the sets of war technique provide the required versatility. Changing them will open up tactical options and let your defenders vanquish the ever-changing monster waves.

Your enemies are the beasts and legendary races from Greek mythology who conflicted with humans since the dawn of time and have long wanted to exterminate them. The legions of the dead started this war, gathered the army and attacked Ithaca in great numbers. The beasts and monsters from around the region took advantage of the opportunity to advance their forces.
Pay special attention to the bosses. They are creatures of legend that caused much suffering to mankind. Now, they will use their impetuous primordial strength to break through our defenses.

As other reviews have said, from Chapter 2 onwards the balance gets screwed up and you just get frustrated with it. It's like they did the demo well and then it was just a rush to get it released without testing it or they grew to hate the players and got petty with the design, who knows. But, in their defense, if you like challenges, you'll love this because it does challenge the player - to keep playing.1 found this helpful
The game was actually fun. I enjoyed it, even the inventory management is buggy on using controller. But I end up getting the stuck bug on NG+ that the stage didn't finish even all enemies are gone The game idea is not bad, but the game is so buggy. The UX is bad on controller even it's full controller support. The bugs that couldn't let player progress any further are critical, but no support from dev1 found this helpful
It's a good game. It has a "plants vs zombies" layout. You get a field of of straight paths where different enemies trek towards the "home" you are defending. You have a hero that you control and there are upgrades for your towers if you win. It is a difficult game to advance, but that is what makes it worth playing. The best part is that it is a novel tower defense - different from the standard, yet with the same attractions. It is well made, well thought out and has good graphics that will hold your attention. I liked it and I think many seasoned TD fans will find it to their liking too and enjoy it for many hours.
The game had a bug that made me unable to continue the game, whenever I wanted to start a new level the game would never finish loading said level, I tried reinstalling the game, deleting my local save file so I can donwload it from the cloud again, and still had the issue, if the devs fix it I will continue playing and change my review, but this is a literal game breaking bug and it's unnaceptable.
I feel like there is something here but the way the game is atm and how it feels like you have to grind to progress i can't recommend the game. hopefully some kind of overhaul is done but seems unlikely.
I actually enjoyed this game. I can see the complaints of it being too grindy, but its a good tower/hero game. Get it on sale and it is worth it.
