About LEGIE

"If the devil gave man free will, let him be the origin of all evil in man's deeds, let him be blamed instead of the stupid man, who does as his lowest urges and desires command."
  • A hybrid of adventure game and classic grid-based dungeon crawler, set in the medieval Czech town of Jilemnice and its hilly surroundings.
  • A dark story about an innkeeper, beer and the devil.
  • Poetic dialogues, wise words, bargaining, fights...
  • An RPG without magic, elves or hobbits... (we're in Jilemnice after all)
  • No saving the world, no heroism.
  • Low hardware requirements.

The game has been released on Steam on its 10th anniversary
  • Windows 10 compatibility
  • Steam achievements
  • Minor fixes and adjustments
Low-Poly Nostalgia, High-Poly Softlocks
LEGIE really intrigued me with its low-poly design that reminded me of the times when my life was actually worth living. But is the game worth playing? Well, if you don't expect the same level of quality as HROT, then sure, it's worth it. It's a nice little mouse-only adventure. The biggest downsides are technical. You can't really play the game in fullscreen at a normal resolution. If you set your monitor to 800×600, then yes, fullscreen works if that's your thing. I played the whole game in windowed mode, which didn't bother me too much, but if the game had been significantly longer, it would've become a major issue. There are also numerous opportunities to get softlocked. It happened to me twice. The first time, I couldn't get the pickaxe from the guy in the tavern despite making the soup for him. The second time was in the last dungeon, near the end of the game, where you're supposed to drain the water so you can grab the key from the coffin. You can literally trap yourself inside a room with two locked doors. Thankfully, thanks to my good old childhood experience with games like this, I save compulsively. Because of that, I di…

I mean it was entertainig and had this cozy old school feeling but actual gameplay wise it's pretty bad. It's more like an interesting short interactive adventure story that is dressed as an rpg, which in reality it's not. Tbh the combat mechanics only made it worse It's feels very hand crafted but a starting student project. Still, 2 bucks and the game world feels nostalhic, so no complaining

Really weird adventure game with a little bit of combat and focus on its environment. Although there isn't too much to the story, picking the right dialogue option and listening to npcs will reward you. It's easy to get stuck or die if you're not being carefull (with saving the game) but overall the game offers unique experience.

I was given this game as a gift. I really didn’t know what to expect but I was drawn in by the art. The game definitely has some quality issues but makes up for it with the overall presentation. I really liked it but probably won’t play it again for a few years. If you do play it look up a guide if you get stuck longer than 10 mins. Especially for the final puzzle. There is no way to know how to solve it otherwise.
