A pretty ok game from what I've played so far. Making words is always going to be fun and the idea of a balatro-type roguelike structure mixed in is a good one. I think I'm pretty average when it comes to word knowledge (more from reading than games like scrabble) but the difficulty of the game feels harsh. Combined with the pittance of gems you get from completing levels I find it hard to want to play another game. I know this game would be much smoother for me if I had scrabble brain but modifiers you get from the shop lack the synergy potential when the reroll cost is so high. Everything feels so expensive. I try to economize and save for the interest and its gone in an instant. Between buying new tiles, leveling up word length, and items makes it hard to feel good about committing to a strategy when you never know if you can really lean into it through purchases in the future. Why commit to small word length when all my tiles are basic and removing AND upgrading them is offered at random? Why are gems even offered between levels? Why make the player decide between the meta progression and improving their current deck in the middle of a run? The meta progression doesn't even…

This is a very competent word game in which you are playing a set of "rounds" against imaginary opponents to develop the most points out of random draw of letters from a bag. Every tie you win a round you earn coins that can be used to purchase buffs for the current game, such as score multipliers for given letters in a word, ways to change a letter so they are worth more or make adjacent letters more valuable, and so on. The game is addictive but it can sometimes feel like RNG screwed you over. During each run, you can accrue diamonds that persist between runs that you can use to improve your base stats and other similar things. The setup makes it so even when you lose you don't feel like you totally wasted your time. I don't think I'll play however long it takes to unlock all there is to unlock, as I've only successfully finished a run once, but I was hooked for long enough to say the game is worth anyone's time, or at least anyone interested in word games.

This is the first negative review I've ever given, and I don't do it lightly. There's a lot to like about this game, especially at first. I was hooked for a while, but the RNG is really starting to get to me. I've only made it to the fourth level a few times, where I invariably lose. I love word games, but I'm finding it impossible to develop any kind of meaningful strategy when everything keeps changing. I do recommend trying the demo, but I wouldn't be so quick to jump into the full game. Give it a while. So far I wouldn't even have come close to beating the demo.
