Relax Watch Movies and Cartoons

Why not just relax in some areas and watch tv?The game features some very old 1920s and 30s public domain cartoons and movies. There may also be a classic movie reference or two.The game has an emotional narrative that will reveal itself once the player has completed their journey. The Game also features many of my original Oil paintings throughout.Alex Kerr PaintingLiminal Lane has No Save System but is a short experience. As a solo developer this is my first game, for anyone who follows my channel Ravenhome knows my huge interest in the Backrooms and Liminal spaces, so I'm very excited to have developed my own Liminal Space themed game:) Many thanks

Alright. Liminal Lane is done and dusted. Although my playtime was about 40 minutes, I took time to watch the cartoons available on a couple of the televisions in the game. If you choose not to do so, then it's probably a 30–35-minute experience. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3760056505 While this is definitely a liminal space/megastructure type walking sim, the developer is definitely a movie fan and there are Easter Eggs all over the place in this game. Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, Office Space, Boogie Nights, Jaws, Apocalypse Now and more (it's possible that I miss my mark on some of these and they're actually from different movies though, lol). The more you look for them, the more you are likely to find. I thought that was a fun aspect of the game that I didn't expect to find here. There are also some quirky moments such as the tiny door and the arcade game cabinet. It appears that the developer is also a painter, and there are quite a few awesome paintings decorating the various levels. Definitely take some time to check them out rather than just running past them. It's worthwhile, and at least one also provides the solution to…

This game hit me with a wave of nostalgia. The rooms are filled with things that felt instantly familiar from growing up. It's eerie without relying on constant jump scares, and it perfectly captures the feeling of wandering through places that feel oddly familiar but just... off.

I can see that the developer has some interesting ideas, but the game is way too unpolished and lacks cohesion. Crashed a couple of times for me, so I had to run through everything from the beginning, since there are no save points. The game also doesn't have any settings, so I limited the frame rate via a 3rd party tool, and this seems to have helped with the crashes and allowed me to finish it.
