About Little Island
Little Island offers you the experience of interacting with a variety of cute animals in VR space. Dive into a world full of nature and adorable animal children. You will be healed by interacting with the lively animals. Help them in their time of need, play with them, and love them.
The world of Little Island
You can meet the adorable animal children who are so realistic and want to hug them. Dogs and cats, penguins and seals, a total of 18 unique animal species await you. In addition to a variety of locations such as forest, grassland, ice field and abandoned place, there are also unique spots such as the fantastic Northern Lights and soothing bonfires.
Communicating with Animals
The animals you meet for the first time are looking for food, stuck in a tree, or in need of your help. Use items and your wits to help them out of their predicament. After rescuing the animals, gently pet, hug, play with them by throwing a ball, and get on with them.
Other features
In addition to interacting with animals, you can also enjoy fishing, planting seeds to grow flowers, and freely driving radio-controlled cars. You can display the fish you catch and the flowers you grow in an aquarium or vase, creating your own favorite space in your own room.
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/FvB6HKJwphw I enjoyed this petting zoo in natural habitats relaxation app. I think this app will appeal very strongly to kids, families with kids, or for those young at heart looking for a relaxing experience with cuteness overload. While there are mini-game type activities here, it's very basic and not geared towards "gamers." However, if you're mainly looking for an experience to get away from life's troubles, then this app is perfect for you. There are five different maps, night and day for each. Each map will have different baby animals that you can pet. On the main hub hub map you're limited to the puppy and kitten. You can only feed them, play fetch, and pet them (they go to bed on their own). In this main hub area, you can unlock fish for the aquarium or unlock flowers for your 3 vases. That' s all the activity there and you would be mistaken if you thought that's all there was in this game (I think the negative reviewer made this mistake). I will admit that the button for looking at the map to go to the other areas isn't intuitive. On the Oculus Quest 2, it is the Oculus …9 found this helpful
‘Little Island’ is a virtual pet game in which you have to feed, pet and look after various pets. All I got to see was a kitten and puppy and to be fair they do look as cute as a button with pretty good fur textures. But there is so little content in this game I have to question what on earth you are paying for. Sure, there are apparently other pets (I have no idea how to unlock these), but with only feeding, petting and playing you will soon get bored of them. If this game was free or just a few quid I might have suggested it for the little ones, but when it costs £11.39 full-price there is simply no way I can recommend it to anyone. There are plenty of other free virtual pets apps out there, so try those before even thinking about grabbing this.9 found this helpful
I 100%'d everything in less than 55 minutes, and that includes checking out the night version of every scene and trying to go places I wasn't allowed and as a result having to restart the game to get back to the home level. I also noticed some game-ending glitches that required a restart of the game to fix. For example, if you fall off the map, it doesn't reset you, and the pause menu will not follow your space, so you cannot interact with the pause menu while falling in order to load another level. Another glitch I had to restart over was when I load home level while handling an animal, my hands get unloaded and will not come back. Overall, the game just isn't much of a game at all. It's barely a toy experience. It has few objectives, of which none are challenging at all, and VR interaction is at its minimum here. The fishing is pretty basic, just a wait til it shakes and yank it out kind of thing but again, not at all challenging. No level has any repetitive tasks or a good gameplay loop at all. Catching the fishes seemed like it could be fun... if it was less RNG and more skill-based with fishing holes to find and baits to find and match up. Petting was just the most basic hove…2 found this helpful

Why is there Missing Content? This App does not match up with the Preview, because you are stuck inside the House! Seriously! Where's the Real Little Island?
This 'game' is really just a few VR environments like the ones you can download for Steam VR with some cute but simple animals and a few other amusements attached. So why am I recommending it? Because it's worth the $15. Because I've decided to keep it so I can play with the cute animals and do the other fun activities in this 'game'.
