About LOCIS
LOCIS isn't a game like the others, it's a game for those who love exploration and for those who love to test themselves. Your journey into the nightmare will not be easy, you'll encounter a lot of dangers, disturbing situations and strange people who will wander like you in the desperate search for a way out.Watch out! The darkness can get you anytime when you are distracted. You will be facing different monsters for each Areas.
• Procedural generation: The world of LOCIS is constantly evolving, the game generates itself every time you play it thanks to intelligent algorithms and will be able to offer you a dynamic situation and an always different adventure at every start.
• Karma system: LOCIS knows who you are, it will often put you in situations where you will be forced to choose... the game will adapt to your play style and evolve according to it, even unlocking different endings at the end of the game.

• Dynamic story: The story of the game is told through sheets of paper scattered throughout the nightmare, but it's a dynamic narrative where the player is called to join all the pieces and understand more and more about the game world with each play.

Groove Studio is a team of only two people, we are Italian developers who have decided to carry out this project with a zero budget for more than a year because we believe in its potential. Our hope is that players can understand our passion and support us to bring this project to an end, we believe that it's possible.
Special thanks go to our dear friend Freedy Sanchez, who kindly offered us his awesome music tracks.
WELCOME TO LOCIS.

LOCIS is a horror game lacking in variety and intrigue, beyond the first hour of learning the game there is really nothing more to see. You walk through endless corridors that all look the same with nothing happening for 10 minutes until you interact with a 'Monster' which can range from small inconvenience to instant death, making the game feel random and unfair at times. There are notes scattered through out the game that could build intrigue and give clues to secrets, but I have found they lead to nothing except another different looking room among the endless corridors. LOCIS has a good start, but not enough in the game to be considered finished. I applaud the developers for what they were able to make with little budget and two person work team, but I can't say I enjoyed the experience. Edit: After playing another hour, I realize the game play itself isn't captivating. Not only is the game simply a series of doors along a hallway randomly generated, the rooms in said hallway lack variation to keep it interesting. Different areas are simply hallways with minor variations, making encountering new areas not even exciting more of a name change, the only areas with intrigue were …7 found this helpful
I definitely recommend this title to anyone who's loves surreal horror and in-depth lore! this has been one of my go to horror games and I have to say, impressed with the recent update! Keep up the good work!2 found this helpful
LOCIS is a poorly made low-fi first person adventure game where you explore an apartment building that seems to be several kilometers long and consists of a single unlit hallway full of "apartments" which are just single rooms with a single item of furniture in them. Clearly the developers learned all they need to know about humans from a badly translated book. Anyway the poor game designed is matched perfectly with poor technical execution. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. To compound this effect, everything is ultra pixellated regardless of the resolution you set, which somewhat implies the game was made to look bad on purpose. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio. It's possible they develope…1 found this helpful
I really wish I could recommend this game. LOCIS is a first-person survival horror roguelite that is procedurally generated each time you play. It is meant to be played multiple times and features multiple endings. Sadly, I never reached any of these endings as I was not a big fan of the general game play. LOCIS is a world created after the battle between a big bad demon and a big bad angel. It sits in between the worlds of good and evil and three beings are set over it to judge whether those who pass through LOCIS are worthy of being damned or absolved. The game play primarily consists of walking down straight hallways while opening doors on either side, searching for ones that lead to a wall of blackness that take you to one of fourteen different environments. Many doors are locked but the ones that are open lead to rooms with a few piece of furniture inside, some of which have drawers that sometimes contains a silver or gold key or a page that contains lore expounding upon the world of LOCIS. The keys can be used to open locked doors. Doors requiring silver keys lead to new zones. Doors requiring gold keys lead to special rooms where you can get power-ups to help you escape t…1 found this helpful
Really Cool Game Concept! liked the atmosphere and it got a lot of cool references in the level. to be honest the only Thing im complayining about is that it's not that scary! to be honest just for the whole concept it's a lovely game but imo it should have more chasing and Scary sound to give the player a sense of urgency. maybe some thing that happen a random like eyes following you sound that keep you on your toes and stuff like that ! Other then that really cool game good job guys!1 found this helpful
