It's like translating a whole Choose Your Own Adventure box game to Junji Ito and then making it a computer game Pretty short runs, great game to casually pick up and play a round or two before bed Plenty of in-game achievements and unlockables and unique endings and interesting Older Gods to keep you coming back for another round after seeing so much Would love to see this translated into a physical box game you could play as DM with a friend2 found this helpful
Awesome Roguelite. Starting over and learning from previous runs is really rewarding, although getting unlucky, non-avoidable events does set you back in unfair ways and could mess up your planning. However, that's the real challenge! The game keeps you on your toes making you LEARN how to maneuver these unfortunate outcomes, exploit features you can actually control and predict, and TEACHES you patience to think your next move while taking negative odd into consideration. This whole dynamic keeps the game from turning into snooze fest even after putting hours into it, as it keeps you guessin' what'll come next!
Interesting vibes, the random nature of encounters doesn't owe itself well to strategizing so the roguelike aspects aren't super mechanically deep.
