About Lonely tiny spaceship

Greetings!

Lonely Tiny Spaceship is a shooter in the space arena, in which you grow from a small, clumsy to a powerful capital spaceship, using resources obtained from destroyed hordes of enemies and other cosmic evil.

Background

Now is the distant future... Controlled by advanced and experimental artificial intelligence, the ship was caught in an electromagnetic storm, as a result of which the interstellar navigator was damaged. In order to find the way back “home,” the only hope left is to make periodic interstellar jumps, guided by the stars. But, as you might expect, the vast space is full of unknown dangers... Good luck!

What to expect from the game

Construct a spaceship:
Dozens of parts and modules for constructing the spaceship
Spaceship designer, between levels

Fight with enemies:
  • Different types of damage and resistance to them
  • Different accumulated statuses when receiving damage that have consequences
  • Various types of guns of different calibers for increased firepower. Ability to customize ammunition to suit the situation.
  • Hordes of different enemies with different sets of random modifications
  • Battle with enemies that may turn out to be the same spaceships as you
Move:
Based on real physics, based on the center of mass, torque and thrust
Each fragment has its own mass, on the basis of which the center of mass is also calculated
Next, based on the location and power of the engines, the thrust in one direction or another, acceleration (rotation/motion), is calculated, therefore not only the power, but also the location of the engines affects maneuverability

As of June 16th 2025 I cannot recommend the game in its current state. The balance makes the game nearly unplayable, there is not enough resources to build any meaningful ship designs. Balance is broken and meta progression is confusing and or non existent. I will change my review if this is ever addressed, but the last patch was supposed to address balance and that was back in April of 2025 Edit - Recent patches have made the game more playable but I do believe it could still use a bit more balance love. I wish I could give this a neutral.

interesting idea. For those who like bulletgell vampiresurvivors-like games, but at the same time are tired of the standard mechanics for a character improvement. At first, the movement system seemed clumsy, but when you understand that the position, angle of rotation and force affect maneuverability, you begin to understand deeper the depth of the idea. It is also interesting how the energy and processor work, the  control elements and manages the planning of the design of ships, not only installing new cannons it`s a game of a type "hard to learn, easy to master"

Visually the game is not the most attractive, but in this genre it is not the key. very good idea for the design of the ship and the synergy of the spaceship's subsystems with each other, I look forward to future updates!

Pros: 1) A deceptively addictive little roguelike ship builder. There's a lot of versatility, and I'm having fun going through the runs. 2) You can turn up the play speed, so it's easier to learn and iterate. Cons: 1) Essentially no information - you're doing your best to figure out what you need, but it's very FAFO, and doesn't hold your hand at all. 2) Unintuitive and clunky UI. 3) Less of a learning curve, more of a cliff; you're pushed off of it, and do your best to build your ship in midair so you don't hit the ground. 4) AI Art. I probably wouldn't have purchased it had I seen the AI disclaimer in time. For $4, it's worth it, It's very much a WIP, but I've just had two hours of my life sucked away before it crashed - which prompted me to write this review.

Lonely tiny spaceship is one of these indi titles that get you interested enough to play, and then suck you in completely. For days and days I have looked for ways to improve my little space ship. Get it through the levels. Unlock Tech. Grab Achievements. If you are looking for a cool spaceshooter with a spaceship builder roguelike twist, then this game is absolutely for you.
