About Looper Tactics

Looper Tactics is a captivating strategy card-based RPG, blending elements of deck-building games, classic card battles, and auto-battler. You will traverse a board-style map, continuously assembling and strengthening your deck through battles, events, and treasure hunts — all while uncovering the truth hidden in this fantastical world.

During your journey in Looper Tactics, you’re free to explore the map however you like. Advance or retreat. Decide which tiles to explore next and get ready before engaging in the ultimate battle that awaits you on each level! How you progress in the game is your mere decision.
Just remember, as you advance on the map, the enemies will get stronger, but you’ll also encounter new allies and creatures to enhance your deck.

As a deck-building card game, Looper Tactics gameplay is inspired by Hearthstone, Artifact, and Hearthstone Battlegrounds’ mechanics, all while adding strategic and roguelite elements. In the game, you collect resources through battles, events, and treasure hunts, strengthening your deck in preparation for the ultimate boss challenge.

Minions belong to different races - Demons, Elves, Mechs, Elementals and Dragons - and have two distinct forms to choose from.
Each race has unique mechanics and combining it with different units and spells can lead to multiple combat styles. Choose the one that suits your strategy.

Engaging in battles will allow you to enhance your minion’s attributes by using abilities, attacks or spells. These changes are permanent and will help you until the end of your adventure.
Plan carefully as even the lowest-tier minion can become a formidable force after countless battles.

Confront every battle as a new opportunity. Your strategy during these auto-battle confrontations won’t only affect the current challenge but also future encounters.
Each movement is a new opportunity. Think of your next step as a fundamental part of your whole strategy, as different tiles will allow you to gain blessings, trade cards or engage in battles of increasing difficulty.
Grow stronger as your hero and companions' attributes improve based on your fighting style and choices on the map.

It all began when the ancient empire dared to play God. They constructed a whole world within a container, creating synthetic souls to inhabit it. But as they watched their creations grow, fear crept in. The only solution to prevent these creations from leading to the world’s ruin was to seal them away and keep them on an endless cycle of reincarnation. A fate the synthetic souls would endure for all eternity.
The empire believed they had done enough, but as time passed, doubts began to arise. Would the cycle of reincarnation be enough to keep the world safe? Only time will tell…

It's definitely good. The game deserves a positive review. The card battle mechanics are exciting and well done. What bothers me: you traverse endless areas/rooms one after the other. It's easy to lose track of where you are. An overview map is missing.

Looper Tactics, developed by Inkstone Atelier and published by 2P Games and Gamersky Games, is a layered strategy experience that merges deck-building mechanics with roguelite structure and board-style exploration. It doesn’t settle into a single genre comfortably, instead drawing from several established systems and weaving them into a loop that emphasizes planning, adaptability, and long-term decision-making. The result is a game that can feel both familiar and complex, depending on how deeply players engage with its interconnected systems. The gameplay unfolds across a grid-like map where each movement carries strategic weight. Players navigate tiles that represent encounters, rewards, and potential risks, gradually building their strength while preparing for increasingly difficult battles. The pacing of this exploration is crucial—progressing too quickly can leave a build underdeveloped, while taking too long allows enemies to scale in power. This constant tension between efficiency and preparation becomes one of the defining elements of the experience, shaping how each run develops and encouraging players to think several steps ahead. Combat is centered around a deck-buildin…

I really like the card battling element of this game. It feels far too limiting sometimes. Each level only lets you play for so long but it gets a little easier each time with the card improvement system. The story though is completely impenetrable for me, though. I'm not sure if it's deliberately written as it is or if it's a horribly garbled translation and the main map area is tedious and annoying to traverse between levels. Overall I'd recommend this game but be warned it isn't as ling as it should be unless you like doing the same thing hundreds of times to get a slight edge after a long time.

Well, I'm gonna leave a positive review because it's not a bad game. But it has this... lack of juice, maybe? It feels like "I could've made it" myself. The dialogue is odd, the whole... the game has this "feeling" that the developer made systems and then attached the game on top. The idea is good don't get me wrong but man it's so odd sometimes. I got it for cheap and that helps a lot for this to be a positive review. Hope the dev's next game is better!

I really enjoyed it at first - very unique gameplay and fun art style... but it quickly gets extraordinarily infuriating. This is just my opinion, but I feel the story should've just been dropped. Progression is mediocre and balancing is near non-existent. With the current state of the game, I can't even justify starting a second run to try and get a better deck for the very first 'A' area. I appreciate what the devs were trying to accomplish, I really do. But it falls so incredibly short of expectations

Sure, i am having fun a lot of fun in the first 2 hours. But, I don't like how gameplay loop work and some quests also very confusing.
