Lost and Hound

I could not play this game relying just on audio. It's just a drone that indicates that you're headed in the right direction. I would have been more helpful if, say, you followed the sound of the child crying out. Having the sound indicating that you're going in the right direction be unpleasant was also an odd choice. I can see so when I opened my eyes, I could play the game. I had to quit the first real level before I returned to the mother, and then had to repeat it. I just went to the location that I thought I had found the boy, but that didn't work. The game wanted me to follow the white dots the entire way. It was fairly tedious. Also, I noticed that some instructions are only visible on the screen and are not narrated for blind players. If you're blind and want something to play, I recommend The Vale: Shadow of the Crown. This game has no visuals and so it really is fully accessible to blind players.

This game did not have the accessibility requirements I was requiring. The sound proximity option isn't a viable option because it measures sound on a flat plane. So, even if there is a small hill in front of the dog, it marks it as an obstacle to avoid even though it can be climbed. Secondly, the tutorial is supposed to give sound queues about following the trail, and it it supposed to increase in pitch, but I found the sound did not increase in pitch at all. The pitch seemed to increase in the next couple levels, so it seems to work in most cases. It's a bummer it didn't work for me in the very first experience which made me confused. I really want to like this game, but I think it still needs quite a bit of work.

There is no option to change resolution so i can't see all the icons on my screen, the game consists of sniffing for clues yet there's no clear indication of where to go despite using this slow method of discovery, the game world feels very bland and feels as though it was made in some free software that they teach you to do in school. I couldn't bring myself to play it any further i find watching my dog go out to pee in the bush more entertaining than this.

This game was a disappointment for me. The mechanics don't work well, the graphics aren't very attractive, and the voice acting isn't especially good. The gameplay is pretty simplistic and a lot of assets are clearly copy and pasted - this would be okay for a free or low-priced game, but for a title priced at $20, I expected a much higher quality product. The thought of playing a detective-solving Corgi was what drew me to the game, but actually playing it was far inferior to what I was expecting. $20 is a decent chunk of change, and I'd suggest spending it on another, better made dog-themed game, rather than this.

i really want to love this game, and i think it has a lot of potential, but i feel like it doesnt fully live up to a truly blind accessible game. im not technically visually impaired, so i played blindfolded for most of the game, and while the controls and sound orientation are really good, i felt like it was really unclear what some objectives were without any visuals, but if you could see the screen there often were prompts on the screen that werent read out to you. there is also A LOT of information that isnt read aloud to you when you reach the smaller levels after catching the bad guy in the city, without visuals i was completely lost on what was happening on screen before i even got into the level, because i wasn't aware that there was another screen i was currently on. lots of potential, fun as a game if you arent visually impaired, but not quite there to being 100% blind accessible (in my opinion!)

So far I like it. I find the trail to be slightly confusing after the first mission, but it is probably a learning curve like anything. I will update with any developments.
