Finding Fido: The Journey

"Finding Fido: The Journey" is a weird 3D adventure game where you control a 2D texture running around static environments with some of the worst camera angle management ever to insult the entire video gaming institution. What do you do in the game? You wander around an asset flipped looking environment with a lazy cel shading filter slapped over it looking for your dog. The godawful cameras and movement stuff makes this thoroughly unpleasant to play. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. "Finding Fido: The Journey" is possible some student project (just a few people worked on that). Game can be beaten in 10 minutes... if you can handle controls early. There are many issues with this game: a) Saves do not work well - they only save level, but Level 2 is divided into two sections b) No music or sounds c) Controls are absolute, so always pressing W will move you to same direction, however, it is easy to lose orientation because of camera work d) no animations for protagonist - he is just sprite... I liked it. Its charm is undeniable and is a great addition to the genre.

Это отличный выбор для семейного досуга и просто для тех, кто ищет добрую и позитивную игру, способную оставить приятное послевкусие. Однозначно рекомендую к прохождению!
