About LowPoly Towerdefense

Welcome to Lowpoly Tower Defense!

In this game, you have to manage resources and towers to prevent the enemies from reaching their goal. You'll be battling LowPoly SciFi enemies in a desert! But be aware: Resources are quickly depleted! You need to ensure a steady supply. Moreover, your opponents will increase with each round! Utilize the interim periods to construct towers, organize resources, and fortify chokepoints with towers.

This game is designed as a supplementary activity for an instructional course and is developed without any commercial intentions. If you wish to recreate this game for your personal use, please contact the publisher!

Now, enjoy building and best of luck!

Best regards, Holger

Instructions

Welcome! After the game has started, simply click on Desert Fight in the Main Menu. Now you can move using WASD. First, you should build resource ships (click on the building directly in front of you). The ships will then fly to the silos and collect resources on their own. You can unlock additional silos - just click on them. Make sure you have enough resources to unlock a silo. Use the resources to build towers on the platforms, which will automatically attack the enemies. The towers have a limited range - try it out. Try to catch all enemies and pay attention to their paths. If you let too many enemies escape, you lose. The enemies appear at the top left in three different locations and then move down to the three caves on the bottom right. There are a maximum of 15 rounds! Good luck!

This isn't ready for early access, its free so no money loss. There's a lot of Basic stuff missing here. [list] [*]What can (Should) i click - There is no obvious difference between what is just a random building on the floor and something that does something, When you do click on a building there's nothing to highlight what you have selected, prime example of this is earning resources, I tried 3/4 times before i finally found the building. [*]Hints/Tooltips - If your going to go so wildly different to your standard TD this needs hints or a tutorial level or something to say click this to build ships to get resources, Mobs creep to the yellow caves, build on the gold pots. [*]Map Design - It doesn't feel balanced, the left is easier to defend than the right. You also really start with the camera focused at the wrong end (Meaning you miss where the mobs are headed too) again tips/hints/tutorial would help this out. It also feels like too much space for a TD. [*]Tower Balance - you just build MG's lasers and slows are pointless, the cost vs reward isn't there you win with MGs just fine [*]Resource Gather - Honestly for me this system is horrible, you should probably start with 1 …

"LowPoly Towerdefense" is an abandoned Early Access attempt at making a tower defense game that looks bad on purpose. Gaming is a visual medium. Deliberately, even proudly telling people the game suffers from low polygon counts, a defect, is an admission of disservice to gamers by knowingly creating defective products of low quality. The game was abandoned by the developer about 10 months ago. It will never be completed, and just resides on Steam like so much more abandoned Early Access pollution. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is f…
