About Lumins and Shades
Lumins and Shades is a cute 2D grid-based puzzle game about turning on lights and making memories. Work together with Lumins, who live in light, and Shades, who live in darkness, to bring light to the world.
Guide them to discover and solve puzzles, in which they interact with various kinds of light switches, each other, and even the light and darkness itself. Puzzles start simple but eventually become very complex, as different solutions have effects on the world and other puzzles.
Lumins and Shades is the kind of puzzle game that does not directly spell out its mechanics, but instead allows the player to experiment and discover them on their own.
The game contains around 150 puzzles (depending on how you count them) across 11 areas, and a handful of deeper challenges for those who seek them out.

Calling the early game 'easy' misses the point – those puzzles are assembling your puzzle-solving toolkit. The real challenge begins at the colossal finale of Buried Graveyard. This last level is so complex yet PRECISE that you can’t skip anything – you have to switch between 3 sublevels a full 18 times. I got stuck for months and only beat it after my friends dropped hints.8 found this helpful
Quite unique puzzle game with interesting mechanics. From what I've seen so far, the puzzles are very well crafted and satisfying. Looking forward to playing more of it. :)5 found this helpful
The game is a little slow at first, and you'll think you're just going through obfuscated 3-bit mazes. But it builds up in complexity and quickly requires thought and careful observation to solve every puzzle, thanks to multiple players, peculiar buttons and tricky win conditions. I had to come and leave a positive review after finishing Unhaunted Desert - F1, it was THAT good. There are some technical issues (see my forum post for details) but nothing that can't be overlooked.2 found this helpful
Solid brain-fryer. I like it.1 found this helpful
Interesting puzzle game that does some fun stuff with an overworld with puzzles in them where the puzzles and the overworld interact. It's cool, but the difficulty in the later puzzles is more about having so many things to keep track of.1 found this helpful
Fun puzzler that really makes you use your brain sometimes. The mechanics are easily understood, and figuring out what you should be doing is typically straightforward even if determining how to make that possible can be tricky sometimes. Overall, a good game worth your time if you like the kind of sequence puzzles the game provides. Except the level
Flattened Pyramid - I
, heck that one
