About Lunar Tide

Lunar Tide is a survival action roguelite where you face relentless hordes of creatures in a dark fantasy world. Choose your destiny, master steel and magic, and hold out until the first ray of sun dispels the darkness.

Key Features

  • Frantic horde combat: Survive hundreds of simultaneous enemies on screen. Every second counts, and every move could be your last.
  • 4 Unique classes: Master distinct playstyles. Each class offers a unique way to face the night, from brutal melee combat to the darkest magic.
  • An evolving arsenal: Unlock over 25 weapons and abilities. Create devastating combinations (synergies) to become an unstoppable force.
  • Permanent progression: Defeat is part of the journey. Collect gold in each run to permanently upgrade your stats and unlock new perks.
  • Epic challenges: Explore 4 atmospheric zones and face final bosses that will test your strategy and reflexes.

Retro dark fantasy aesthetic

With a visual style inspired by 8 and 16-bit classics, Lunar Tide embraces a dark and direct atmosphere. Simple yet effective visuals ensure nothing distracts you from what truly matters: frantic action and arsenal management.

Lol, this is definitely one of the worst of these games that I have played, and I play a lot of them. However, the dev knew this and only charged a dollar, which makes it a fair purchase. I keep coming back to it, and it's hard and unbalanced and all the features you want are missing, but you keep trying because it's hard. Good game for a dollar, lmao.

Honestly, its a fun gun if you like the standardized top down rougelite game. The biggest issue is performance. I have a 9900x & 5070ti and by the 15 min mark in a round, im getting under 40fps. Its only $1 USD so theres not much to complain about, but trying to play it for a long round or extended playtime (say more than an 1-2 hours) genuinely sucks lol. Still worth the $1 TLDR

A garliclike that is basically Vampire Seducers. This is like the whole let me copy your homework but I am going to change/remove some things. For diehard garlic consumers this is a fun little experience that will be super familiar. For those who are just getting into the genre and haven't played Vampire Seducers, my question is why they wouldn't just play that instead? With that said, it does what it sets out to do perfectly fine. I recommend this if you want to seduce garlic.

This is worth a dollar. It's nothing special. What it needs is some kind of skill modification or mutation, or better description of what leveling a skill actually does. In addition to that thought, make leveling a skill do more than flat damage. Chain lightning, for example, make it arc more times the more you level it. Give projectile skills more projectiles. Or just make it so the skills you chose already have a higher chance to appear again. First run I wound up getting like 10 attack spells, not intentionally, but just because that's how they appeared. It just feels bad not being able to specialize in 1 or 2 skills instead of being a generalist the whole time. I'm going to be honest, I'm getting my dollar back. Don't see myself ever opening this game again. It really does feel better than a lot of other cheap horde survivors, but this seems doomed to just be a deep find forever.

If you're a fan of "bullet heaven" games like Vampire Survivors or Halls of Torment, you honestly can't go wrong with Lunar Tide. For just $1/1€, it offers that same gameplay loop we all love. The retro pixel art is charming, the classes feel distinct, and the progression system keeps you coming back. It’s an absolute steal for the price of a coffee. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun, dark fantasy survival fix.
