This time it looks like an Asteroids/SpaceWar/Star Control style arcade shooter, doesn't it? Nope, it's actually a lazy ripoff of Vampire Survivors. You do get your own attacks but most attacks are auto attacks... this has some progression but nothing interesting like Vampire Survivors... it's a weak, nasty ripoff that's more of a cash grab than a sincerely made game. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. LUNARIS is a top-down space roguelite built around a tight wave → shop → power-up loop. Each wave runs on a timer: you fly your ship, dodge swarms, collect credits, and survive until intermission. Then the shop opens — and that’s where the run really starts. Between waves you’re rolling and buying passive weapons (turrets, rockets, chain lightning, drones, mines, and more), active abilities (dash, EMP, singularity beacon, support frigate, coin magnet), and passive items that reshape your build. Runs escalate fast: early on you’re scraping by, mid-run you’re a flying arsenal with six systems firing at once. Boss waves are a clear step up — Star Reaper, Rubicon, Void Anchor, Brood Nexus — with real pressure and spectacle, not just bigger HP bars. There’s meta progression between runs (HP, damage, starting credits, extra waves), plus crystal quests that add optional goals mid-run.
