Unfortunately I can't really recommend this game. Feels like the developers ran out of ideas for puzzles for this one. The "puzzles" are all really simple and doesn't require any real thought. That also means that since the parts that are meant to be actual gameplay are over so quick, it feels like you spend more time in animated transitions than actually playing the game. Graphics and music is nice, but without a proper foundation of interesting puzzles there just isn't enough to justify a recommendation :(.

The previous entry was much better. This one is more polished, but not really fun or interesting like the previous.

Machinika: Atlas is an engaging science-fiction puzzle adventure developed by Littlefield Studio and published by Dear Villagers. Building on the ideas introduced in Machinika: Museum, this sequel broadens its scale while preserving the satisfying puzzle-solving formula that made the original memorable. Rather than focusing on combat or action-heavy gameplay, it invites players to unravel the secrets of advanced alien machinery through observation, experimentation, and logical thinking. The result is a slow-burning but consistently rewarding adventure that captures the excitement of exploring forgotten technology and piecing together an interstellar mystery. The story places players in the role of a museum researcher who finds themselves stranded inside a mysterious alien ship after arriving on Atlas, one of Saturn's moons. The isolated setting immediately establishes an atmosphere of uncertainty, encouraging players to investigate every room, device, and hidden compartment for clues about the vessel's origins and the events that unfolded aboard it. Instead of delivering its narrative through lengthy dialogue or cinematic sequences, the game relies on environmental storytelling, a…

One of the favourite best interactive puzzle games I have played. Some puzzles looked pretty obvious, some were extremely difficult to solve, which I liked very very much, because it gives you the feeling of isolation, in case you didn`t know how to proceed. Great story, beautiful graphics. I think I found my new favourite puzzle series. 10/10

Easy puzzles that mostly involve moving and rotating things. Lacks the sophistication and polish of "The Room" series. A lot of cut scenes filler. In addition to that, the game insults the user by giving them a reward for "laziness" if they ever use a hint even once, which most users will end up doing given how obscure some of the interactive elements are. I'm sure it's supposed to be humorous but felt obnoxious to me.
