it's ok. has bugs thou. in multi-ball sometimes it miscounts the balls, when you're down to one ball but it thinks you have two. When you lose that ball, game wont setup the next ball.

Malzbie's Pinball is sort of the ugly duckling of virtual pinball. It's easy to dismiss it at a glance based on the art. At first I lumped this in with the many unremarkable low-effort digital pinball titles floating around, based on my initial visual impression and lack of experience. I was very, very wrong. And the more you enjoy playing, the more charming the quirky art, DMD animations, and sound design become. The developer's long-term support and commitment to basic quality of life features and physics refinements make this collection, and Malzbie's new project ("Only Pinball") essential for the enthusiast. After playing hundreds of virtual tables and dozens of real ones, I returned to Malzbie's and discovered something I didn't expect: pure joy. These are not complex or difficult tables, but they are carefully designed and playtested, and elegantly express the creator's unique inventiveness and love for the game. Malzbie's Pinball Collection is a free pinball game that is very clearly going for that old 1990s arcade and PC pinball feeling. I like how straightforward it is. I am not dealing with a huge progression system or complicated menus. I just pick a table, launch the ball and try to keep it going for as long as I can. The free version includes the Time to Fight Back table, which gives me a proper sci fi themed table with missions built around fighting an invading force. It is a decent way of getting into the game without having to buy anything. The physics are probably the most important part of a pinball game, and I think they work well enough here. The tables are designed around physical elements rather than filling the screen with flashy effects that would not make sense on a real machine. The dot matrix display and old school presentation also help sell the 1990s arcade idea. I especially like that the game is trying to recreate the feel of a physical pinball machine instead of turning it into something completely unrealistic. For me, I think this pinball game is a masterclass of what it truly takes for the new-age spawns to learn from: Develop a product that speaks to the aesthetically pleasing side of pinball, carefully craft some intriguing tables that makes one feel they could see said table at an arcade and deliver AI that is true to the gradual speed developing of pinball when things get gradually difficult. And voila! A game where the DLC feels like a must buy and every high score goal is must achieve. I'd highly recommend this to the most passionate of pinball wizards...even the old school ones that used to play the digital pinball machine of the same name.
