Refreshing as a New Orleans zephyr, Mama Nyah's House of Tarot isn’t a game that demands your time - but it’s one you’ll want to return to. Gameplay is gentle and reflective, offering short but meaningful tarot readings. All 78 cards in this digital deck have been marvellously reinterpreted from the Rider-Waite-Smith designs. The real surprise came in the Minor Arcana, particularly the Ten of Wands and Five of Pentacles, which don’t often get their due but here felt rich with emotion and style. The cards glow with a soft magic that somehow reached into my own halcyon memories of retro gaming. The readings are remarkable, direct and certainly not sugar coated. The cards I drew invited me to reflect on aspects of my life I don't necessarily want to think about but *should* think about. Mama Nyah tells it like it is! The graphics are the standout delight here: lovingly pixelated with a luminous charm that instantly transported me back to the Sierra mini-games of the ’90s. This is the Tarot game I've been looking for. As someone who is into Tarot, I found myself actually disappointed by the others on Steam (they literally mislabeled the Tarot cards, calling The Star the Four of Pentacles and ♥♥♥♥, not to mention the grammar mistakes on the readings!) Having played this game for around half an hour and a similar Tarot game on Steam for just as long, I can safely say that this game is well on its way to being the premiere experience for Tarot readings here Steam. It's cheaper by $4 or so, and it has almost the same amount of content. Not to mention it also doesn't incorrectly name the cards, the developer is able to spell! (a rare commodity in the Tarot Steam game scene it seems) Things I Did Like: I really enjoy the art style of the cards. It seems to be a pixelated 'reskin' of the original Rider Waite Tarot cards, which are timeless and really fitting for a game that is set in a fortune teller's business. I've tried different Tarot apps, but this one surprised me. Because it explains the meaning of each card for your question and also gives you the clear summary. This is significant, because it gives you the actual answer to think about. Compared to other apps, which only show you the general meaning of the cards, and you have to use your own imagination to make something out of it. Another significant part is that this app is using own artwork for cards, but it's drawn from Rider–Waite deck. Which means that every little detail on the card matters, so there's a room to think further about what cards are telling you. It's a clever way to avoid copyrighting issues and still have meaningful card pictures. At this price, it's a good app to have.

as a Catholic that Doesnt use Tarot Cards in Real Life anymore because its a Mortal Sin, I Play this for entertainment rather than believing in my Future with the Readings, it seems like the cards are always random but most of the time most of my cards i click get reversed but recently my 3rd card got a Upside Up side, the Readings are fun and entertaining but its best not to believe in the cards or what they teach or predict what you believe because its all Electronic and Digital and Virtual, i dont believe Tarot Card Apps or Games on Media (Computer and Phone etc) make your future accurate. i didnt even buy this game, someone in my friends list gave me a product code to redeem to get the game. at least the game is only 1 dollar.
