Cartomante – Fortune Teller

I was so excited to play a game regarding tarot but was deeply disappointed in this one. When you pick a tarot card there is no indication for the kind of message you will give, and I found myself picking bad advice no matter what. Not to mention the sense of humor in this game is not for me. The characters lack real depth, and this game has honestly made your main character out to be insensitive and unsympathetic. I got into tarot to help people, and this game lacks entirely the heart of using divination to be kind and provide spiritual advice. The game also could use more characters, as I only found 3. I hope they update it at the very least for the short game-play time.

I like the game, but i really feel like at some point we should be able to decide which card we want to pick up. Perhaps after finishing conversation with one character specific card, that you already pulled out would permanently reveal itself to you, so that players could try other options.

Jogo muito bom e divertido!!

This was a pleasant surprise. I love anything tarot-related, so that already had me interested, but I ended up enjoying it for much more than just the theme. The characters are quirky, the story took turns I genuinely didn't see coming, and a few of the endings completely caught me off guard. It's short, inexpensive, and surprisingly memorable. I also loved the colorful art style, which fit the game's mystical vibe perfectly.

This feels like a demo of a game that would be on par with something like No Umbrella Allowed. For what it is, it does it very well. I wish there was more content, i'd happily pay for it. The gameplay is nice, though the card you pick is, obviously, random. And it shows. For a fortuneteller, you'd think you'd be able to pick an appropriate card blindly, with a tell or something, but i understand there are some limitations. I appreciate that there are three possible answers on each cards, but i do wish we could make a fuller answer with all the aspects of the card, somehow. Anyhow, I enjoyed this.
