What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate the game's cute graphics and charming animations, with some finding it emotionally engaging. However, the game is criticized for frustrating controls, an oversized hitbox on the main character that makes collision detection feel unfair, and level design heavily reliant on spike-based difficulty rather than engaging mechanics. Despite these flaws, the short length and challenging speedrunning potential give it reasonable value at its low price point.

cute little game about dodging spikes and collecting berries as a mare. took me longer than it should have but totally worth it for a fun short platformer
This game saved my life, thank you Mare Dare <3
maredare is a fun history lesson to go back to after the cinematic masterpiece that was maredare 2: the daring sequel, but as a game it's kinda awful the controls and depth perception are both frankly terrible and make the game much more difficult and long than it needs to be despite my gripes with this game i still have a ton of respect for the maredare series and i can't wait for maredare 3
