About Marginalia
“The porter drew a map for me on the back of a brochure. In smudged pencil he showed me where to turn from the main road onto a dirt road and then where to leave the road entirely. I left the streetlights behind me and traveled into the dark."
Marginalia is a first-person horror game that transports you to Kestlebrook, a secluded valley where history becomes enmeshed with a strange present. Weeks ago Eric left. Days ago you got a letter telling you to come to him. Now you're here, but precisely where is here? And better yet, when?

It's difficult for me to say whether I liked it or not. It has a sublime atmosphere, with a forest that you can tell it was made with care and with points of interest scattered throughout it (some more visible than others), and on top of that a storytelling that is as captivating as it is creepy. Where I have a problem is that more than a walking simulator it's a marathon simulator. The game's short if you manage to find your way around, and even then it's quite tedious to walk so much (you can't even run), and be aware that it's ‘if you manage to find your way around’, it's easy to get lost between one point of interest and another. Still, and this might sound like a spoiler, the last 5-10 minutes really made the whole experience worthwhile.

I would love to play it, but the mouse sensitivity is about 10x as high as it should be with no way to change it, and on top of that it's locked to 60 fps. For a game where you're looking around a place you'd hope the looking around doesn't give you headaches
A masterpiece in atmosphere. Not too much meat on this game but I think it does what it intended to do perfectly. I especially enjoyed the forest environment and the ambient backing music. Solid 8/10!
Yeah they right it's just a glorified walking simulator... it's aight I guess.
Moody, atmospheric little walkabout that doesn't feel the need to answer things better left to the mind.
