About Medusa's Heart of Stone Chapter 01
Medusa was transformed into a gorgon for defiling Athena's temple while serving as a priestess there. Condemned to spend the rest of her life on a distant isle, she is determined to find a soulmate even though most of her visitors wish to chop off her head! Follow Medusa as she embarks on a journey to prove that even a gorgon can be loved.Play through a storyline that is both deep and lighthearted.
Your actions will determine your fate.
Defy mortals and the gods!

NOTE: Originally, we planned to make this game three chapters long. Due to changing circumstances, we have decided to release the first chapter as a stand alone game. We hope you enjoy what we were able to finish.

"Medusa's Heart of Stone Chapter 01" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Medusa's Heart of Stone". Medusa's Heart of Stone is a poorly made and abandoned 2D adventure game about the developers imaginary greek girlfriend... this demo shows the game was headed to being a massive flop, full of bugs, some sections not working, sloppy combat, sluggish movement, and and otherwise very weak technical implementation propping up an even weaker overall game design. If they ever made it, it would have been a disappointment, but this advertisement flopping hard on Steam probably caused the developer to give up and abandon the concept. It's unclear why this advertisement for a product that will never be made lingers on Steam, but it's not doing anyone any favours... genuine developers who do the right thing have to compete with this pollution to find an audience. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Medusa's Heart of Stone, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. The game is nice and the dialogue's hilarious. The character's designs are so good and original. It's true that the combat system can be a little bit tough at the beginning if you are not so used to the 3D; yet once you take it into account, it becomes much easier. It is kinda sad; from the point of view of Medusa, yet the plot is intriguing. It's a shame that it is only 1 chapter, I'd have liked to see how the story ends. Hopefully, we will see it in the future.
The first chapter of this game seems very promising. The gameplay is pretty easy; the only really tricky part is turning people to stone, but after some playing around, it's easy to get used to that, too. I particularly enjoyed Medusa's design and her snakes (not to mention the pause screen), but the art in general is very fitting for the story. Hope to see the following chapters soon!
Can't wait for more chapters.
I really hope they finish this game.
