✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the art style, music, and arcade-style stealth gameplay loop of hiding and striking at enemies, but are frustrated by poor AI implementation, clunky mechanics, and technical bugs that haven't been addressed despite being reported months ago. The game is criticized as tedious and repetitive with very little progression or variety, and many feel it's not worth the asking price given its short length and lack of meaningful content.
When I first watched the trailer for the game, I thought of games like Styx, Prey and a few other games that have a similar stealth mechanic of hide and strike, but what did I think of the game ? Read on and find out. With no real story as such, you play a gigantic, black spider looking type creature, that can hide in almost any object you come across. Each level has no objectives listed, its just simply kill everyone in it or fail and restart, there is no level select and each level appears to be random. The general gampeplay loop is watch the patterns of the guards etc. hide in a nearby object on their path and strike as they come past, get caught on the way though and its restart level, which can be frustrating if you've only have one or two left to kill. Enemies vary a little from robin hood looking dudes to knights and all sorts, if I am not mistaken everyone seems to be male for some reason, not that I`m really bothered by this, its just an observation. You have a couple of abilities to use, there doesn't seem to be any upgrade options or further new skills so three was a little disappointing. The first skill drops a cloud of smoke to help you escape if spotted, the se…13 found this helpful
Changing my review to negative, as the game is obviously abandoned and the devs won't solve the problems reported 9 months ago. Too bad, as the game is actually fun. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/KTFSfUMrDhE2 found this helpful
i like the art style and music (i primarily bought the game for the "vibe"), but damn the game is extremely clunky, the gameplay loop is boring / tedious, and the AI is very badly implemented1 found this helpful
While this game graphically isn't all that impressive, the gameplay is far worse. The AI in it is laughably bad, and there have been times that I wasn't noticed while untransformed right next to one of the humans. There are very few abilities, and nothing to improve or change as you progress levels. It's a very simple game, and I wouldn't recommend it for it's cost. However you do you.1 found this helpful
I've always enjoyed decent stealth games and this one feels like an arcade version of that kind of genre. In 5 different stages you are able to try reaching the best high scores (s ranking) and try not to get caught and to kill as fast as possible. But even if I personally have a lot of fun with those kind of games, I should be fair enough to point out some down-sides of it: * a bug that makes the enemies not walking around anymore and just standing still in one spot with a walking animation loop * graphic bugs can happen too, like something foggy blocking the view of the distance or the shadow-alike leg of the spider-alike monster-"hero" blocking the camera's view shortly * 5 levels are really short (first playthrough I've finished in 76 minutes), but as I've mentioned before the whole arcade-gaming style to try improving your previous "highscores" can give this game some replay-value * no story available at all So yes, if you enjoy stealth games, need a game which is suitable for short breaks and if the mentioned issues before don't bother you, then I can recommend this fun game to you!
