Midnight Saturn

I backed the crowdfunder for this as I love all previous Cosmic Void games, and this continues their quality selection. Midnight Saturn is a cyberpunk detective story, investigate a girl's disappearance by talking to characters and finding clues. It's a small map and not too many objects, so you can brute force if you're stuck. Most objects disappear after being used once. Great visuals, like the rest of the Cosmic Void series, and fully voice acted thanks to the crowdfunder. Highly recommended, just like the rest of the CV catalogue.

Just a beautiful point and click adventure with an original story, beautiful art and music and FANTASTIC dialogue and writing. Had a lot of fun.

Another interesting retro-style point and click from Cosmic Void. Feels like wandering around a classic New Wave SF story. A little on the short side for a veteran adventurer but good mix of MacGuyver solutions and more traditional puzzle puzzles.

The style is commendable, but the puzzles, writing, and story are, shall we say, slightly deranged.

Another solid Cosmic Void adventure. I didn't enjoy it as much as Neon Hearts City, but it's certainly among their best so far. If you enjoy point and click adventures, you'll enjoy this one as well. I look forward to seeing their work improve even more as time goes by.

Bad puzzles, bad writing. It starts off questionable when our Protagonist Simms mentions his medium friend... Why would a PI (in a pseudo-feature setting no less) believe mediums are real? Well, at least that is warranted, as we do get hard proof that spirits are real... or do we? Anyway, we puzzle our way through town, and by "puzzle" I mean "throw random ♥♥♥♥ into the crocodile lake" until they burb up the exact items we need to progress our case. We do that not once, or twice, no! [i]Four[/i] times we do that. My standards aren't that high - sure, that's a puzzle to fill space, I'll go with it. But if you go after the third time "♥♥♥♥, we have another item... quick, pixel another croc!" this is just ridicules. Other puzzles aren't much better. We really channel 90ies point'n'click energy with the randomness of the interactions. Why are there crystals in the hideout? There is electricity, but no door? Wash a chew toy in the sink? - no better blast it in the microwave - [i]Christ[/i], I can only imagine the smell! The people act weirdly as well. Somehow every woman flirts with Simms.
