Mighty Goose

This game fulfilled my long-standing dream of being an armed to the beak mercenary goose in an exo-suit. Also, the crow and I are now friends.

A run-and-gun that plays a lot like Metal Slug, with influences from a bunch of other games thrown in. You've got your basic gun, far-more-powerful weapons with limited ammo, vehicles, a dodge roll... The look is more like Metal-Slug-meets-Mega-Man though. For the most part, combat is about shooting for a while and then dodge-rolling mid-air at the right time. Like I said, though, the devs were just throwing fun stuff in, so you've got a lot that builds on the Metal Slug formula. The big one? You get a meter that you can spend to become invincible and power your weapons up when it fills. There are also these nice touches to the combat, like the game slowing down and showing the goose unleash a mighty HONK! sometimes when you beat a bunch of enemies at once. Another really cool feature: you can pull out a smart phone and buy power-ups or your machine-gun-armed unicycle mid-level using the coins you pick up from enemies. There's also a bit of customization. You can get companions with their own unique abilities; most of these just attack, but one gives you machine gun ammo, and another does nothing. You get a secondary weapon can work as another attack, summon a fighter, slow time…

a little bit anticlimatic with the ending not gonna lie. i wish it'd have more bosses and more diverse enemy types its cool style but definitly not worth 16,X $ glad i bought it for 5,03 Euros

A short but very fun little run n gun game that reminded me a lot of Metal Slug. I'm sure you can get some more hours from score chasing or 1CC runs but I thoroughly enjoyed my 2hr playtime beating it once.

Good. Not WOWWWW but good.

It's a pretty fun game, good callback to the good ol' Metal Slug times, the art and concepts are honestly badass in a silly way, adds character to the game. controls are responsive, i say the game is balanced too; despite how RNG dependant the last boss seems to be. all in all my biggest issue with the game is that the campaign is too short but its defenitely worth the purchase for a fun, sweet and short game that can also be used as an introductory game for a friend or family. pretty cool
