At the core Mighty Goose is a tight side scrolling run & gun shooter that will test your skill, timing, reflexes. Building upon that solid arcade base, the game adds a ton of crazy weapons, warmachines, upgrades and secrets.
Assume the role of Mighty Goose and bring the fight to the Void King. This galaxy conquering monarch commands a vast army of minions and mechanised monsters. Dealing with these baddies means traveling to distant worlds and facing all kinds of dangers. But not to worry, this is no problem for the legendary Mighty Goose!

This game is the definition of smooth. As in the mix of animation together with effects and gameplay has zero slowdown (except the actual slow-motion to emphasize explosions). You can turn down the effects if you want, but I kept them on and also turned on the readability of enemy bullets. The controller rumble goes really well with all the carnage on screen, very well put together game.1 found this helpful
Unfortunately, Mighty Goose is not up to par with the better options of action platformers here on Steam. Although it has somewhat charming pixel art, the presentation is a little rough. On many occasions, the screen ends up cluttered with enemies and glitchy visual effects, making it hard to read what's happening. The floaty jump doesn't feel good either, not meshing well with the character's fast, long-distance evasive dash (this gets highlighted during the few platforming sections). The game is short and easy enough though, so you don't get too frustrated about it. Anyways, I would skip this one.1 found this helpful
Very fun game really love it and like what they did specially if you pause you can buy items and a vehicle hopefully with get a sequel to this diamond of a game definitely recommend to friends and fellow rog ally and steam deck fellows1 found this helpful
After misunderstanding the scheduling for my exams, this game helped me kill a lot of time when playing on the Steam Deck. Also the gameplay is silly and chaotic, which is a real treat. Fantastic and flashy action with moderate difficulty.1 found this helpful
