One of the most visually striking and creative tower defense games ever made. Mind Keeper is an absolute gem that deserves your attention! Completely hand-drawn with beautiful yet eerie art, Mind Keeper focuses around themes of mental health throughout its story and gameplay. While still in early access, there is a significant amount of content, with a range of items to unlock, new towers to try different strategies, and permanent upgrades for progression. The game also features a randomised upgrade system between each wave of enemies, adding an element of roguelike replayability to the game. I've so far made it through 5 days (which feature a day/night cycle), and found the game to have a challenging difficulty curve that keeps you coming back for more. The platforming and base building is fun. I liked figuring out how to counter each boss destroying my base. Night Time is hard without using level 4 tents. But i enjoy the pressure in trying to finish before night. Or strategically waking up before night is over to take advantage of the 10x enemy count. It is a little short on content currently. But the game shows great promise.

Seem ok, you just get unstoppabely irradicated repeatedly... like whats the point of walls if they don't block anything? Also theres no way to change the aspect ratio so you can actually see the options at the bottom of the end screen? Hard to get excited to play it more

So sadly, it took me a LONG time to get to this game since it kept climbing down the priority ladder. I thought I'd make a small showcase video and thought of doing it with those "bottom" pf the ladder games, starting with Mind Keeper. Well…. I was very wrong. I loved it. This is easy a game I can see myself getting lost in. So many roguelike elements. The hand drawn style and not only hand drawn style, the game draws itself as you play which I thought was such a clever game design (maybe another game has done this before, but I haven't played it and it's not something we see every day). Like many roguelikes (and I suppose Tower Defense) games usually do, you'll also use a card system to select perks for that run. Each wave will bring a plethora of weird face monsters you'll have to attack and destroy to progress to the next wave.…
