I put in a shameful amount of time on the demo because this game looked simple and easy. But I was naive. This is war. Mind Over Monarchy is a merciless strategic roguelike where you're torn to shreds where you stand for simply existing. I clawed my way past cruel enemies and over the bodies of my fallen soldiers just to survive another map. And every single time my hubris was measured and cut down. If you go into this thinking you'll complete a fun few games, you'll be stuck here with me just hoping for one more round to prove yourself.3 found this helpful
A chess type game with roguelike elements. You can play with various types of medieval classes like archers, knights etc and with some fantasy inspired characters like mages, vampires and so on with various different abilities that can cripple the enemy. As of writing there is a campaign mode where you have to fight through a series of challenges to reach the end, pick your battles carefully. During the campaign mode you also get to choose various cards that for instance can recruit a unit or give your units a permanent stat boost or heal your units once etc. There is also also a survival mode where you fight waves of enemies.
