Ohhh this games takes me back to the time of Motherload. (the flash version, not the steam version) I just love the ambiance and the music is very good! Every time you go down it is the question of will I be back before my fuel runs out? Every dive is a hunt for riches that you don't want to interrupt to get fuel, but you have to. And in time as well because else your haul will be lost forever! Upgrading this makes it easier to get huge hauls. Content wise I think the price is a bit steep but the game is very fun to play nontheless.2 found this helpful
I have mixed feelings about this game, but it's similar to a game that I absolutely love: Motherload. I personally view it as a homage to that game, and I'm absolutely fine with this game not being as excellent or better than what Motherload was. It's a simpler and shorter version, I 100% understood that going into it, and I honestly think most people should realize that. The mixed feelings is about the price of the game. For the short experience you get I just can't fully justify paying 10$ for such a simple, ~2 hour long game with no re-play ability.
Gameplay
The game is 99% keyboard based, the only times where you can use the mouse is in the buy menus, upgrade menus, etc, but these menus can also be controlled with the keyboard. The actual gameplay is pretty straight-forward: You mine for minerals, sell them to upgrade your vessel, re-fuel, buy upgrades like Teleport to surface, explode, mine through solid rock, etc. The goal is to bu…2 found this helpful
Great game! I find it really relaxing to grind ores and continually upgrade your machine. It’s a chill, engaging experience that's perfect for unwinding. I also appreciate the attention to detail the developer put into the visuals and audio—like the parallax scrolling in the background, steamy particles drifting through the air, and unique sound effects for each material. These touches show a real dedication to creating a rich and immersive experience for players. Totally recommend it!
This is the perfect little miner game for a nice little price. I love games with this dig/cash/repeat loop, and this one scratches the itch quite well in a concise manner. No real bells or whistles, and I beat the game in 2.5 hours. Mines of Volantis is an easy purchase if you like what you see in the pictures. If you don't like what you see, you likely won't enjoy it. Thanks to the devs for making the exact game I've been itching to play since flash games were wandered the net. I almost set out to make it myself a few times, but no need now, this turned out EXACTLY as it should have. Great job!
Fun game to chill out with
Just a relaxing game that takes me back to the days of online flash games
