Mini Words: Top Games

Not too bad, not super easy or hard. If you're really into games you'll know the answers. I had to google a few due to abbreviations used. Was fun going down memory lane and recalling past of games I played!

Worth the 99 cents! I think I actually liked this one better than the original "Mini Words" because of the video game trivia aspect of it. Its always fun to a) realize you actually know more than you thought and b) learn new things (thanks Google).

Pro - A trivia game that also requires that you spell the answer w/o reusing pathways, the later lvls have more answers - Gaming trivia ranging from common knowledge to obscure - Decent time waster/"party" game Con - Not a con, but it's what it says it is

One of the few games that has truly made me gamer rage! It’s a fairly challenging experience that spans a wide variety of game genres, so unless you’re a jack-of-all-trades, expect to get caught off guard a few times. If you're well-versed in RPGs and adventure games, for example, you might struggle with questions about sports or flight simulators. That said, the challenge is part of the fun, and there’s a guide available if you get stuck. If you enjoy testing your gaming knowledge (and don’t mind a little frustration), this is definitely worth a shot!

I can see Mini Words: Top Games as a type of an homage to video games and video game culture. Mechanically it's a relaxed quizzing puzzler that evokes warm, positive feelings in me for seeing mention of the games I know, I like, I've played or remember from the furthest reaches of my personal memory lane. It also works as an interesting test for how many video games, new or old, I'm actually aware of, despite not necessarily personally playing them. As I mentioned, the name-dropping and references of MW:TG warm my heart. It's a bit like going over your memorable games with another person with a shared interest. It also makes me realise how much games have meant to me since my childhood: A hobby, way to relax, let my imagination run free and have fun. Something engaging to do alone or fun to share together with a friend. An inspirational form of storytelling art. A frame of modern inclusive & unifying gaming culture. A tool for learning languages, travelling the world, experiencing different cultures and gaining various all-around knowledge... and a shared interest and source of joy with my own daughter.
