Monster Capture King

This is basically "Monster-Catching Game: Abridged." It has all of the feeling of a normal-sized monster game, but packed in a 2-4 hour package That being said, the graphics are rough and the gameplay isn't any kind of deep. It's a simple game to its core- but I was sad when it ended, so I guess that says all I really need to say about it in terms of recommendation.

It's your standard RPG Maker game in terms of combat. So it's very bland and boring in that regard. I find the art at times charming, at least for the monsters. I mean there's a bunny on a scooter with a magic wand, what's not to love there? But some are ugly as sin, like that weird ogre looking thing seen in screenshots. But beyond that, frequently, the visuals are an abuse toward your eyesight. Some doors are hard to even see, the floor tiles in some areas are just so ugly and blinding, and they hide NPCs in them. NPCs who are also really ugly to look at. There's just not a lot to work with to justify recommending it. Oh and oddly there are five monsters in your party [once you get 5], and you can only see 4 of their information on screen at a time you have to otherwise scroll to see the 5th. I don't know if that's a limit of the RPG Maker used or what, but it's really goofy. [you can see the little arrow in the screenshots of the battles, that's what that means; a fifth monster down there]. Makes battles a bit more annoying as you can't at a glance make sure your team is okay to keep going. There's the world's worst ice puzzle ever made. On top of that I froze the game there…

This is the best and worst game you've never played. For only 1.29$, you can experience joy, anger, sadness, and have to buy two coffees to power through the slog. For 1.29$, this is a great game. The graphics are genuinely hilarious at times, and I never found myself lost. There are numerous times in the game where you just hold down the select button. Boss fights with immeasurable health, and an ending that seems constantly out of reach. It's a fun game at the start. But as time goes on, the game becomes more and more interesting and equally more and more boring. The puzzles become harder, but not from a puzzle perspective, instead from a gameplay difficulty perspective. The Supernatural Arena leader was harder then the Monster Capture King. I don't know why I like this game. It's a bad game, but I love it.
