About Moonlight Mansion

Something just isn’t quite right, and Margarette can feel it. She and her son, Henry, struggle to remember why they’re here ; all they know is that they must escape, and do so as fast as they can. Haunted by an entity from their past, they need to cooperate and gather clues in order to find a way out ; and, at the same time, discover what happened in the cursed Duval mansion.
Will you be brave enough to help them uncover the truth?

"Moonlight Mansion" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from UQAT - Création et nouveaux médias in Quebec (also a great way to get a high scrabble score if you can land that on a triple word score). This is the result of an academic exercise for students. It's not a full, complete game in the way professionally developed products are. While it has more quality than most amateur games, it's not a complete gaming experience. Student projects have limited value for gamers because they're not fully developed games, just barely functional demos that show the students progress. Steam is not a place for for-profit colleges to dump student homework assignments... and having thousands of these is not good for gamers. The students made a game that doesn't work, but published it anyway. Good job guys. This is a two player game where you strut around through a haunted house. One player controls the mother, the other controls the little kid, Henry... well, that's the idea, but the game is bugged and both players can only control the mother, which renders the game unplayable. Wow. Did UQAT give any of the students a passing grade for this disaster? I…

Its terrible but it wont take much space, effort or time so it's fine. Remote play together is good enough, doesn't require too much reaction time heavy stuff. Something silly to kill time with. I had the issue where both controller and keyboard control the same character, NO IDEA how I fixed that. Maybe remote play lets you fake being a 2nd/3rd controller? This would take two competent people 20 mins probably, me and my dumbass friends took 45
