About Moorhuhn 'Traps and Treasures'
The Quest for the WHATSIT
An amulet lost 1000 years ago, the WHATSIT, has always been the Holy Grail of treasure hunters. Well, actually the Holy Grail is the treasure hunters' Holy Grail, but the WHATSIT comes right after it. And even Moorhuhn, the greatest adventurer among treasure hunters, cannot resist a hint as to the whereabouts of this relic. And so, he unceremoniously drops himself above the dense jungle and plunges headlong into the adventure.
In the depths of the dense jungle, the Moorhuhn follows the legend of an ancient, lost temple complex. Legendary treasures are said to lie hidden there, but above all a priceless treasure: the sacred amulet of WHATSIT!
Hidden traps, bad-tempered gorillas, aggressive crocodiles, strange shamans, forest spirits, temple guards, bats, warriors of the dead and stranded aliens require all the courage and skill of a real treasure hunter.
As you would expect from a proper jump and run platformer, you need to use all your physical strength, courage, and skill. Jumping and swinging, kicking, boxing and sometimes even shooting, Moorhuhn races through the depths of the jungle to find the treasure of treasures: The Amulet of WHATSIT.
But before that, there are all kinds of hostile opponents to defeat, obstacles to overcome and traps to avoid. And then there are some valuables to be found and collected.
You can replay unlocked levels at any time to improve your final score.
But that is not all! 6 new bonus levels not included in the original game bring further fun and the opportunity to collect additional points.
And when there is nothing left to collect and all the opponents have been defeated, you can still try to achieve a new best time.
FEATURES:
Moorhuhn speaks English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian.
Enough talk. Get the game now and jump into the adventure!

Imagine DKC but it controls kinda badly and you have a gun. On a serious note it took me way longer than it should've to figure out there was a punch button so I ended up getting stuck near the end of the game for a few minutes because you NEED to punch a skeleton to progress. At no point in the game do you get told how to punch or that you can even do it unless you look at the controls (default bind is Y for some reason). This game isn't really bad, it's just painfully mediocre.1 found this helpful
It's pricy for what it is, even on sale. The 90 minutes of nostalgia are worth it tho
I haven't played the 2005 original, so I don't know about some of the music changes, but I had a great experience playing it now. It's a very good platformer, funny animations, precise controls (I played it with Xbox Controller) and addictive gameplay. I would have liked it the be more challenging, but otherwise great.
I've encountered a bug in which I'm not able to launch game when not connected to the internet. Game crashes every time I try launching if the internet is turned off. I can however turn off internet after launching game but not before launching. I will not recommend this game until this bug is fixed. Update: 17\03\2025 This problem has been fixed so now I recommend buying this game.
