About Mooselutions

Immerse yourself in a relaxing puzzle adventure set in a forest full of pesky moose who anger easily. You play a lost lumberjack who is a frequent target of angry moose charges and general "shenanigans".

This isn't like real life where you can just move the moose crossing sign to get the moose to leave you alone.

You must navigate your way around the moose (meese?), anger them, and get them to charge where you want them to go. While you're at it, have them charge into other moose and see what happens.

You can hide behind trees and push blocks in front of the moose to stealthily sneak past. You can even load the moose onto rail carts to push them around.

Whatever you do, don't get TRAMPLED. The moose aren't mean-spirited. They just don't like you. Mooselutions is a turn-based Sokoban style game, so you get one turn to get away from the moose after you anger them. Don't run into the path of an angry moose!

There are forty nine hand-crafted moose puzzles designed to test your skills, and different areas unlock as you progress. Earn achievements for manipulating the moose to your whims and for being the target of their peskiness.

Who would have thought such simple moose-related rules could lead to so many deep moose puzzles? This is what the moose call psychological pestering.

Mooselutions is an excellent riff on classic sokoban design. It's basically the inverse design of the also excellent puzzle game Headlong Hunt. Instead of spooking a creature to run away like in Headlong Hunt, you enrage moose to rush at you in order to put them in the correct spaces to unlock level exits. Challenge is kept reasonable, yet still plenty thinky, and solutions are entirely deductible throughout. Several new mechanics are gradually introduced to keep things fresh. Unless you're looking for super steep difficulty or off the wall concepts, you'll probably have a great time here. Mooselutions is well satisfying for puzzle freaks and puzzle dilettantes alike. Putting aside ethical concerns of baiting peaceful virtual wildlife for the sole purpose of solving puzzles, I warmly recommend Mooselutions.

Perfectly balanced level of challenge and reward. Easily an underrated little gem.

Decent puzzle game. ~50 puzzles of varying difficulty. It gets quite hard on a few levels but should be possible to solve without guides. Takes probably less than 10 hours to complete.

Spend some time thinking about moose

You know there's something there when you start dreaming about blocks and moose hours after you put the game down.

I got stuck on some of the last puzzles and quit and after a few months came back and beat it fully from scratch. It's a very relaxing puzzle game and quite short with a few surprising puzzle solutions. There is no indication of beating it once you finish all the levels or just the main branch which I found a little odd. It runs well and is very responsive. The price feels fair. If you are in search of a short and cozy puzzle game, give it a shot!
