Motesolo : No Girlfriend Since Birth

Despite the continuity errors both in script and screen and the poor Korean to English translator having a seemingly hard time, this had a lot of heart and a lot of enjoyable moments. I thought it was really cool to include BTS (BEHIND THE SCENES NOT THE KPOP GROUP CALM DOWN :p) as I personally love that little insight into production and how stuff comes together. With games like this, I tend to do all the bad endings first so I can really sit and enjoy the good endings, often leaving the game on a high note but this time, I noticed a grade system so I went for the second best ending (the choices were pretty obvious to me on how not to ♥♥♥♥ the date up) and sandwiched all the "sub par" ones in, ending with the best ending. All F endings are just instant game overs so pretty easy to knock those out and then just focus on the ones that "matter". Most of the storylines are cohesive enough with laugh out loud moments peppered with some touching ones but tell me why is B+ LAZY?! Without spoiling it too much, it should have absolutely ended with more substance. Like she didn't have to return his feelings but we don't get a tasty resolution at all. This game is SO FUNNY! It felt like watching the quirkiest kdrama out there. Extremely comical every step of the game. I got all of the achievements in this game and wow what a trip. I’m so glad I gave this game a chance. It’ll be fun to play again as the years go on as well.

I'm gonna be single forever

If you know this type of absurd humor will resonate with you, then it it will be extremely funny. Motesolo feels like an FMV anti-dating sim dating sim that is less about getting the girl and more about ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up modern dating culture and maybe the expectations men think they should fulfill as a partner. It also talks about dreams and the middling realities of adulthood. To me, this was a nice look into Korean relationships, friendships, and work culture. I really do highly recommend it, if only you get the absolute best ending. It is somehow very subtle and poignant that it still remains in my mind as one of the most memorable endings in a game.

Trailer made it look funny and sweet but in reality I was annoyed and bored. Both the guy and the girl were unlikeable so it was hard to connect with and root for them. Dude was either arrogant, idiotic or desperate with very little in between. It was hard to watch and off putting. Girl was pretty much impossible to please and either refused to talk first or went on and on about her life drama. If I were either of them in real life I would’ve ended the date early. I didn’t bother unlocking all endings as I pretty much didn’t care to see what else was there.
