About Mountain Hook
Mountain Hook is a simple, zen-like time-waster about scaling giant stone towers. It's best enjoyed with a podcast and your favorite snack as you ascend into the skies - flirt with gravity and let the real world pass by on the windPick your route up each new mountain and take as many risks as you think necessary to reach the summit. Toss a few of your sticky explosives if you need to create some space and throw in the occasional back-flip simply because you can.Note: Mountain Hook supports mouse and keyboard but was designed to be played with a pad for the most satisfying swing
- A grappling hook with playfully satisfying swinging physics
- Some explosives, in case you need to get creative
- A genuinely pointless and risky back-flip ability
- Predefined challenge mountains to get you accustomed
- Unlock-able character customization options
- Gamepad support with configurable buttons
- Endless, procedurally generated monoliths, begging to be tamed

Fun gameplay, not sure I agree with the "zen" part though, the difficulty curve is steep. It's a decent little game for the price.1 found this helpful

Great value, my skill is trash but the gameloop isn't. Fun game, great focus on the essentials.
What an absolute steal this is at £2.49! Saw this a couple of weeks ago on reddit and thought it looked like a solid little game. Received the notice about Mountain Hook being released and thought -Mount Hook what game?? Instantly remembered it when I saw the images and bought it. Controls are slick, it plays and feels as good as it looks in the video. Ran out of battery for the controller, so had a go with keyboard and mouse as well. Worked very well to play with keyboard and mouse, I would say it is a matter of preference of the user. Did switch back to the gamepad when I had batteries again. Back-flip to death is fun. Dying from getting a rock in the head after blowing up part of the mountain is fun. Getting a smooth sequence of hooks and swings is satisfying. It took me 50 minutes to play through the beginner levels and try intermediate a little bit, there is also a hard section and an endless mountain. First time playing I had a few small stutters during the first stage. I thought it might have been from loading new sounds, but it did not happened when playing the game a second time. No such issues elsewhere and was very minor. It would have been nice to have had some s…
