About Mr. Pumpkin 2: Kowloon walled city
Mr. Pumpkin 2: Kowloon Walled City is a sequel to the Mr. Pumpkin franchise. Our protagonist, an insignificant guy with a pumpkin head, will explore the Kowloon Walled City of Hong Kong, and witness the stories happening within these walls. The plot is set in the historical sites of Hong Kong, and is a tribute to the golden age of Hong Kong films.
Kowloon Walled City was a settlement in Hong Kong under British rule. It was both a hell and a utopia, formed by intertwined streets, aged buildings, dazzling neon lights and dark narrow alleys. In the game, you will travel through the Walled City by Hong Kong's traditional transport such as cable car, double-decker bus and tramway, from episode to episode, experiencing a Hong Kong version of the famous painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival.
Kowloon is literally associated with the Chinese dragon, which will be a key motif of the game. To progress, you need to solve the puzzles and mysteries you encounter, break the code of the Dragon Gate, and help Mr. Pumpkin find a way out of the chaotic Walled City.
However, you will come to realize that it is not only chaos that lies in the heart of the city. The people living within the shadowy walls have always been longing for the light from outside. They have been striving to survive, chasing their dreams and love.

A massive upgrade puzzle-wise compared to its strange and specifically difficult (i.e. fixation with math problems!) predecessor, and a very successful and appealing change of genre overall, as this is a clear adventure-puzzler instead of a pure puzzler. I enjoyed the story, the simple yet brilliant graphics and animations, the various quests, the interaction with a bunch of interesting NPCs, the soothing background music, the nice array of achievements and of course the puzzles. The vast majority of them are intuitive and fairly easy, and can be solved using logic and your observational skills. Also, contrary to the previous game, the hint system in this one is actually helpful. The two biggest (and probably only) cons are: - The lack of manual saving that the previous game had. You can always stop playing whenever you want and come back to exactly where you left off, but that's the only available save slot. There is no chapter selection feature either. Meaning, if you miss an achievement, you will have to start over from the beginning in order to try again. - Although the game lets you know which objects you can interact with like 95% of the time, the remaining 5% can be cruc…1 found this helpful

Another fun adventure helping Mr. Pumpkin escape the confines of the walled city of Kowloon, accompanied by a slew of puzzles of varying difficulty, shopkeepers and citizens to interact with and collect essential artifacts from them and use logic (sometimes the moon variety) to advance. I had fun, as always with another Cotton Game.
This is the best puzzle game I've ever played 10/10 atmosphere amazing top tier would recommend to everybody. Amazing game mr pumpkin the best.
