A melding of modern visuals and effects, to a simple, classic formula. It captures the mood of the original, especially the way practice builds the muscle memory necessary for progression. A few novel touches are introduced to change up gameplay, such as bosses and exotic munitions. Unfortunately it suffers from repetition of the same x4 levels, just speeded up. There is no soundtrack and the audio for power-ups sounds off-kilter. The lack of dynamic elements results in an unvaried experience. No new derivative mode that builds upon this great classic, is a wasted opportunity. Could have easily got the thumbs down, but [b]MAYBE[/b] of interest to anyone with lower expectations than myself. The game feels familiar yet fresh, like Space Invaders with more variety and power-ups. You pilot a ship at the bottom of the screen, dodge alien attacks from above, grab upgrades (double, triple, rapid fire, plasma cannon) and face bosses. The best modern take on space invaders that I've come across in the modern age. Has elements of galaxians in there too. Some really good innovations that make you think "why didn't they think of that in the past" - but it's ruddy hard. Developer gave me a bet to beat 50,000 points in 2 days and if I did I'd get a £25 voucher. I failed. Best space invaders game I've ever played.

A passable Space Invaders game that hearkens back to the days of homebrew clones, but could really do with a bit more polish that shouldn't be hard to add. For instance, there isn't a lot going on visually; the backgrounds are static and not terribly interesting and the enemies are palate swaps whose most interesting trait is blowing up. If you want a Space Invaders game to pick up and play without any investment this will work in a pinch, but wait for a sale.

I got this game a while ago and played it a bit. Nebula Invasion is a game for highscore hunters and lovers of classic games in the shoot em up genre. Just played another round before writing these lines and even surpassed my former personal record. Nebula Invasion is an good Space Invaders clone with everythings fine on graphics, audio and controls. Sometimes games like these are just perfect for a few minutes in between or for a single run/try in comparison to the other mostly huge and complex games. Space Invaders as well as Galaga will always be some of my special and favorite alltime classics. You can't go wrong with a concept like this, when it's as well executed like in this game. Good job and a good time for players with a tight schedule. I want to thank the dev as well for providing this game as a gift to test it. Good work on this.
