About Neptunian Donut
It is a platformer without points, coins and lives. If Donut dies you should to start level again. Short and really hard levels. Hard sound (heavy metal, grunge, punk ...). The game is not long about 2-3 hours. Simple control just jump, move forward and back. Donut moves through a wormhole from the Earth to the Neptune. He attempts to find a way to the Earth. You can help him to come back. Beware of sharks, barrels, UFO, hard sound and hard levels!

Very whimsical, the absurdity of it alone makes it enjoyable for at least a short while. The controls, hitboxes, etc, are of course, very much not good, but they become easy enough to manage as you play. The levels themselves are suprisingly fun. It's not always immidiately clear how you're supposed to get through, and it's fun to figure it out. Other levels are very repetitive and rhythm based, which is fun in its own right. It's fairly difficult, though I imagine anyone confident in their mechanical skills could beat it just fine. The difficulty curve is also suprisingly natual. The earlier levels though overwhelming at first do a good job teaching you what kind of mindset you should have to beat the later levels. The music is fairly basic, but quite groovy and enjoyable. Fits the strange oil sea with flying sharks and barrels oddly well. And I mean, the game is free. There's really no reason not to at least open the game and laugh at the absurdity of it all. Even if it costed a few, If it costs less than my drink then there's nothing to be upset about
Neptunian Donut is a compact but surprisingly demanding platformer developed and published by Alex's Granny. Built around a deliberately simple premise, the game follows an unlikely hero: a donut that has somehow been transported from Earth to the distant reaches of Neptune through a wormhole. While the storyline is intentionally absurd and lighthearted, the gameplay itself is far less forgiving. Beneath its humorous concept lies a challenging platforming experience that emphasizes precision, patience, and determination above all else. The game's premise immediately gives it a unique identity. Rather than starring a traditional adventurer, warrior, or explorer, players control a stranded pastry attempting to survive an extraordinary journey back home. This quirky setup injects personality into the experience and helps the game stand out among countless indie platformers. The narrative remains minimal throughout the adventure, but its unusual premise provides enough charm to make the journey memorable from beginning to end. Gameplay revolves around the fundamentals of classic platforming. Players are equipped with only the most basic abilities: movement and jumping. There are no e…
