About New Yankee 8: Journey of Odysseus
Join the world's best traveled-couple on a time-tripping adventure to return home!
Once again, Mary shatters the boundaries of time and space as she's practicing magic and sends herself and her husband, John, reeling back in time. They land on the outskirts of Troy, where they help the Greek hero Odysseus triumph in the legendary battle and then set off to escort him back to his long-suffering wife.
But this is not the Troy of mythology, and the challenges that lie ahead of John and Mary are not recorded in any history book. Instead, you must lead the couple and their faithful dog Max as they face skeletons, trolls and spirits that will turn them to stone!
You must also guide them as they race against the clock to gather the resources that will give them the strength to overcome every challenge. Even then, a dangerous whirlpool, a quest through the Kingdom of the Dead and a creature that forces them to solve mind-bending riddles will test their ability to endure to the end!

I guess you would have to be someone with great strength and also very kind! If it was me, I would be quite sceptical every time I was handed a glass of juice (or any liquid), to be honest. A little voice at the back of my head would keep telling me, “Beware, you might be part of her next experiment. What will you turn into this time?” Interestingly, there was a famous couple during King Arthur’s era; one of King Arthur’s knights, Sir John, was married to Mary, who was a witch. She was a bit clumsy and while preparing a new potion, she dropped her magic recipe book into the cauldron and managed to open the boundaries of times. Both of them, along with their faithful dog, Max, ended up travelling through time to new and exciting adventures. Their latest odyssey is the story of New Yankee 8: Journey of Odysseus! fun game, nice characters, not over complicated, and very addictive, really enjoying this game and the price.2 found this helpful
I've played all the of games in this series and have enjoyed them all. This is the only one where I've managed to get gold on every level. Still working on the others!
I was encouraged by New Yankee 7 to play New Yankee 8 but it fell short of what I expect in a time management game. It seems that there is a return to more monsters and the possibility of being unable to complete levels because of items disappearing if workers get stuck on the wrong side of a lake. I hit one or two levels like that before hitting level 29. The second time I played level 29 I checked to be sure I had 6 thorns (flowers?) to get all 6 pigs. But one of the workers wandered back over the ice and apparently that caused the "thorn / flower" to be removed from inventory. I have yet to decide if I will try level 29 for a third time but have decided to cross the next three New Yankee games off my play list and only idle them for 2 hours with the unlikely chance that trading cards will be added at a later date. Although I really like other time management series by Yustas Game Studio I am crossing New Yankee off my Wishlist!
