Boring Taxi. Story: This game has no story. Graphics: New York is quite often a very interesting location to set a video game in, from Spider Man to The Division it's a highly iconic city that even if you haven't visited you know it's locales. The rendition of New York in New York Taxi Simulator is genuinely bafflingly bad. It's a bunch of generic looking buildings that are copy and pasted over and over and a giant "central park" in the middle of the map which is about the only notable location. It's an ugly looking game, with the same four car types driving around the city and no effort to recreate the city. Audio: The audio design is also absolutely terrible. There's no music whatsoever and the only audio you will hear is your engine constantly revving and terrible ambience of manholes being lifted and construction noises. It's also quite hilarious that they couldn't even loop it properly, it just abruptly ends, waits a couple seconds and restarts. The car sounds are also horrendous. There's four vehicles you can unlock and while they're all unique, they share one thing is that they sound nothing like real cars. One of the cars sounds like a motor bike and it's very cl…5 found this helpful

Ah, another scam from the fine people at LFF. The nicest thing you can say about NYTS is that it's slightly less awful than NYBS. The un-nicest thing you can say is that 5 minutes of this trash is probably enough to turn you into Travis Bickle. Except you don't get to hang out with Jodie Foster. Instead, you have to live with the fact that this game is in your Steam library.4 found this helpful

I'm the kind of gamer who focuses on simulators of any kind, from Assetto Corsa to Coconut Simulator. I really enjoy all kinds of simulators: forklifts, trains, parking meters, street cleaners—whatever's available, I buy and like... My friends often disagree with my taste. This is the first time in my entire strange gaming journey that I haven't been able to approve a game, lol. Clearly, whoever made this game doesn't even know how traffic works. I wouldn't even give this game to my 3-year-old son because he'd die of boredom... One day I'd have to write a bad review. I never thought it would be for a taxi simulator, since it's such a cool concept to play. I speak as someone who loves garbage simulators, bus simulators, and even other taxi simulators that are available for purchase on Steam. The devs simply didn't even try on this one.
