A nice shooter game with good space ships physics. The music is also very cool, especially the Nightork song in its variations (intro and extro of each arena).

This free minigame is clearly made with a lot of love. Blasting through demon vessels feels satisfying. A great little gem with a awesome soundtrack that follows you like an earworm. Worth checking it out!

Nightork Adventures 3 Arena is a pretty simple arcade shooter, but I found the shield system gives it more going on than I expected. I am thrown into three different arenas where enemies come at me in waves, and the main thing I have to learn is how to deal with their coloured shields. Every enemy has three shields, with each one being either Magic or Antimagic, so I have to hit the right colour in the right order. It sounds simple when I explain it, but once there are several enemies around me and projectiles flying everywhere, I have to pay much more attention. The shield system is easily the strongest part for me. I cannot just keep firing at everything and expect it to work, because hitting the wrong shield means I am wasting attacks. I have to watch the colours and react quickly while also keeping track of what is happening around me. I like that this gives the shooting a little bit of strategy without turning it into something overly complicated. It feels more like learning a rhythm and then trying to keep up with it as the arena gets more chaotic. I also liked having the three Totems to choose from. The Ice Bear gives me more defence and helps absorb damage, the Snow Tiger…
