My review for Niraya of ■■ - Negative (After ~1.2 Hours - Refunding)
Overall, this game has way too many issues that ruin the experience right from the start. Performance problems, clunky gameplay, and missing basics have me heading straight for a refund. * Pros (So Far): - Performance (Stability): No crashes yet—it's playable in that sense. - BGM/SFX: Decent and fitting for the horror vibe. - Story: Can't judge yet; haven't even hit the halfway point. - Gameplay (Core Loop): Seems like item hunting, hiding/escaping from ghosts in set areas, plus puzzles with horror elements? It's basic but hasn't fully clicked. - Graphics: Acceptable; nothing special, but it gets by. * Cons and Major Issues: - Optimization is Rough: FPS fluctuates wildly, constant stuttering, and dips as low as 1 FPS at times. Never stabilizes at 60-65 FPS. In narrow areas like the cave/tunnel I'm in now, it never holds 60 FPS for more than 30 seconds. If you're on 8GB VRAM (like my RTX 4060), stick to Medium or Low—High gives you 30-45 FPS or lower with VRAM overflow risk. - Gameplay Frustrations: + Needs difficulty options and b…7 found this helpful
Wow, been a while since I've played a train wreck like this; if it wasn't such a glitchy mess that crashes constantly I might go so far as to call it so bad it's good as it's downright impressive how incompetent the design is. Do you like wandering slowly through large, empty areas, back and forth to solve "puzzles" that make no logical sense and seem completely random? Well then this is the game for you! The first room in the game is the most interesting part and has the only well thought out puzzle in the entire game and it's not even all that challenging; it only goes down hill from there. The developers have been patching the crap out of it in hopes of fixing the glitches and performance issues, but they don't seem to know what they're doing as weeks later it still runs like crap. Though it doesn't matter any way because no amount of patching is going to fix this mess. Even if they get the game to run flawlessly one day, it's still a crappy game. At the time of writing, I'm probably the only reviewer on Steam to have actually finished the game, but I really should've returned it. Don't waste your time unless you enjoy playing bad games.5 found this helpful
