Nitro Turtles

This is a very cute and fun indie kart racer. I like to play a lot of these and this one has a really neat gimmick with the water/land speeds. When you touch water, you get a bit of a speed boost. This makes it really fun to try and navigate to the many different bodies of water whether through solid racing lines or clever gadget usage. If anything, I think that the speed difference should be even greater, further emphasizing strategic play. Speaking of the gadgets, I think this is a really solid suite. I love the abundance of speed and traversal gadgets as they pair really well with the swimming mechanics. Trying to chain rockets and propellors together in a way that makes me spend the least amount of time on land as possible is a blast, and allows for some neat optimization. Not to mention the fact that you can see every available gadget as you approach, as opposed to most kart racers where your item is randomly generated based on placement. Here there's a lot of strategy as to which item you go for and I can imagine as I learn the tracks better, choosing specific items for specific sections will be a lot of fun. Better than Garfield Kart.

[b]Nitro Turtles[/b] had the potential to be the [b]greatest, bestest, most awesomest game ever.[/b] It’s a racing game, only [i]the cars are turtles. [b]nitro enhanced, super powered sea turtles.[/b] [/i] ...yeah, that’s the whole reason why I thought it looked awesome. What can I tell ya; [i]I’m a simple man, and simple men love turtles.[/i] BUT, after about two hours of play, beating every track, and getting roughly half the achievements [spoiler](with the other half mainly being the time trial stuff. I ain’t got time for that)[/spoiler] I did find a lot of cracks, some of which are surprisingly [i]very apparent.[/i] I still recommend this to any and all turtle lovers on Steam, but there [i]are[/i] a few asterisks. [b]But [i]hey!! super powered sea turtles!!![/i] Wickedly epic!![/b] To describe it in a sentence, [b]Nitro Turtles[/b] is basically another [b]Mario Kart[/b] clone. [i]...I mean,[/i] seriously now; [i]what else did you think it’d be?[/i] All the pages of the playbook are in plain sight: [b]colorful cartoon graphics, several themed tracks to pick from, eight competitors for each race, goofy powerups placed around the track, [i]it’s all there, it’s all been done, and…

Very fun game, I like when the turtles go fast

Nitro Turtles is a very exciting, pretty, and fun racing experience. It is very cool because you race with turtles and realistically turtles don't go very fast so that is very creative. The soundtrack is good and I love all the Nitro Turtle skin choices (especially the wizard turtle, whoever thought of that is a creative genius). This game was worth all the money I spent (steam key) and I would definitely receive a steam key for this game again.
