The game wasn't bad necessarily per se, but it wasn't anything special. I feel bad giving it a thumbs down; I wish there was a thumbs sideway button or something. Though there is nothing wrong with using free assets to make a game, which the backgrounds and characters were according to the credits. But the assets felt very lazily chosen, making for a very inconsistent art style that was very distracting. Some backgrounds were incredibly detailed while others were heavily stylized paintings. The characters were jarring, because in this sea port scene with middle-eastern style architecture had a kitsune man telling fortunes or something. Also a man who looked suspiciously like Joker from Persona 5 was there??? It looked like the only original art was the CGs, which weren't terrible but also weren't that visually stunning. I am not the best artist myself and if I tried to draw those CGs it would probably end up a similar quality but I feel like commissioning a professional artist would have been the better option. The writing needed improvement. As a writer myself I understand that we become better at the craft every day. If the writer were to make this game now, 3 years lat…

Alto doesn't act like a knight in most of Sol's route, and it would work better in first person pov, and Kisha's ending repeats what happened during his route way too much, and it's it's wild that you have to download an old version to get the achievements to work... But setting the details aside, it's really nice! Sol's adorable and definitely the best written romance (solely because it doesn't happen over only three days), but Kisha feels best for Alto in the long run and the secret "romance" pleases me personally, so they all have their qualities! It's also interesting to find out things about Alto in one route that were never mentioned in the other (small stuff, [spoiler]Kisha knows she likes craft but not Sol[/spoiler]), it would've been nice to explore that further. (We also didn't need the Sol flashback in Kisha's route.) I just wish the spread of magic was explored more, I think it's a shame that all we get is "the organisation was good, now it's bad, except for what Ellys says but no one listens to her". (I was also struck by Alto's "everyone deserves to experience magic" because of the [i]deserve[/i] part, but I get that that's not the focus). It becomes just anot…

The writing is awesome. It's got the perfect length. Each love interest is SO likeable I almost can't decide on a favorite. All endings were so well written that they deserve a sigh of 'man, this is so heartwarmingly wholesome'. Bit of a shame that some side characters get a sprite only to be seen in one scene. I'd love to hear more about that man in black, but alas. Other than that I got no complaints! The 100% experience is so fulfilling~

Just here to say am I the only one that was caught off guard by Keshir? Like hello???? Anyways though... I did Kisha's route and I enjoyed it and am going through Sol's. I do quite like both of them and this game is relatively simple but fun enough to keep me going. Like another review said, a pretty good game to spend some time if you're bored, which I have been for free VN's (since I'm poor, crazy in this economy I know). Honestly, if there was more of this game in any way, as long as it wasn't rushed I'd be pretty excited to check it out. TLDR; Pretty good if you're looking for another VN to play that's free :)
