About Old Roots
Old Roots is a survival horror game, inspired in the siberian enviroment. When you are a hunter and you found something going wrong in the forest, what would you do?. Explore and find new things, or just practice shooting with your cans?
In the forest, be careful where you step, there is so many bunkers from WW2 hide inside the earth, and some of them are haunted! Maybe the ancient viking gods where not a myth, and you must be stealthy or you will end death!

"Old Roots" is a buggy disaster with a bunch of recycled assets giving this a way better appearance than it deserves. I think this is some kind of high school project or something. A simple horror shooter, and the horror is that someone genuinely thought it would be okay to publish a game this bad where people might see it. Makes you shudder, doesn't it? Pretending to be a kind of DooM ripoff, this switches the hellscape of Hell for the hellscape of Siberia, and yet somehow, it's still worse than both. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked…1 found this helpful
Fun and short. Died a Few times in the process. Well worth an hour or so just for the Bunker area alone. The Game dev probably wont finish it though because of the morons that cry that its buggy when others like myself didnt have an issue with it. There really are times guys where crying can be avoided. Just shut up next time.1 found this helpful
I liked it:)
Woah, what a cliffhanger ending! Don't waste your time, this game is unfinished and broken!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN TO BE CONTINUED?!?! GAWDDAMMIT I WAS SO INVESTED
It is interesting, but it's really wonky. I got lost with the fuse and the door that needs power. The enemies weren't a threat, and when near the fire, the frame rate drops drastically. I couldn't open the settings either. Other than those issues, it's a short and cool game. If it's expanded upon and most of its issues get ironed out, it could be a really fun game.
