terrible controls.2 found this helpful
It's really a platformer, there's very little to do with skateboarding here.2 found this helpful
I don't find landing tricks very fun... this basically turns into a flexible rhythm game disconnected from the music which isn't my bag.1 found this helpful
it's fun
OlliOlli hooked me in a way I didn't expect — it starts simple enough, but once you're chasing perfect landings and grinding combos across rooftops and helicopter blades, it becomes genuinely addictive. The analog stick trick system takes some getting used to, especially coming from Tony Hawk muscle memory, but when it clicks, nailing a long grind-flip-grind chain feels incredibly satisfying. The lo-fi electronic soundtrack is a perfect match for zoning out and getting into the flow. My main gripe is that the landing detection can feel inconsistent — sometimes a perfectly timed press gets flagged as sloppy, which stings when you're deep into a combo run. Still, for a few bucks on sale, it's a tight little skateboarding game worth picking up if you're into skill-based arcade challenges.
2d tony hawk kinda plays like an infinite runner maybe some peoples cup of tea but it aint mine
