What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
OlliOlli World impresses players with its beautiful art style, smooth and satisfying gameplay mechanics, and flexible difficulty that works well for both casual and hardcore players, with particular praise for its performance on Steam Deck. However, critics note the game becomes repetitive after extended play, the story is weak, it requires a controller rather than keyboard and mouse, and the game's relative obscurity on Steam means it remains underrated despite its quality.
I love it, there's so much flow and it's a ton of fun to play. You gradually get introduced to new mechanics e.g. grinding, wall run, which adds some variety to the levels. It's super easy to pick up but has a massive skill ceiling. The music and art direction are both outstanding, and there's a lot of character/board customisation. I just wish a lot of the cosmetics weren't locked behind challenges or score requirements. I didn't care much for the dialogue (thankfully can be skipped), and some of the challenges are a bit too hard but aren't mandatory to finishing the game. Definitely worth picking this up.2 found this helpful
I was a huge fan of the OlliOlli and OlliOlli 2 and was pumped to see OlliOlli World expand on what made each of those games amazing. This is my favorite skateboard game.1 found this helpful
Finger hurting good!!
Fun
This game is pretty cool. I'm learning a lot about the tricks in skating and their names.
Fantastic game! Even if skating isn't your thing - feel free to try, it's just wonderful fast-paced platformer game, a bit hard, but too much (easy to start, hard to master). I think it's one of the most under-rated games on steam: very beatiful cartoonish style, the gameplay is really fun and smooth, diffulty is ideally balanced (main story is ok for everyone, some additional challenges for those who like it) the only con I see is that you can't play it with keyboard and mouse and lack of advertisiment from the publisher I suppose.. cause it's crazy how so good game can be only rated with <1k reviews in 4 years after release!
