Operation Octo

My best friend had me get this game because he said it was "Like Plants vs Zombies Adventures if it was a good game and took all of its potential and fleshed out while removing all of its flaws!". And basically yeah, he was right. I couldn't put it any better myself. This game is GREAT! A fun successor to PvZA for someone who grew up on that game. I know it's not ACTUAL PvZ (counting fan stuff for this because PopCap is... yeah...) but if I'm counting it, this is probably my favorite PvZ game I've ever played. I genuinely implore anyone else who played that game growing up to try this game out. It's criminally underrated and needs the love. The creator is a PvZ fan and you can tell their art was filled with love while making this game. Like always, PvZ fans do better than PopCap themselves. PopCap themselves are out there using AI for ♥♥♥♥ and the fans are making stuff like THIS! Play it.

Amazingly chaotic

a very lovely love letter to pvz!! i could really tell that a lot of effort was put into this game the game offers a lot of unique ideas i havent seen in a tower defense game before, the player having to defend themselves instead of a static base leads to really fun gameplay and stops the game from feeling stale, the 3 worlds right now feels distinct (even if world 2, 3 and probably 4 all share the same hazard), having to actively pick up things instead of just moving your mouse over them is fun the conveyor belt is a fun and interesting idea for a tower defense game, it leads to actual strategy on what tower you want in what slot which is nice the artstyle is really distinct, just like pvz all the towers are recognizable and their function can be identified at a glance all towers having upgrades that change how they function lead to more strategy on what potion to give to what tower some minor complaints are that the later levels of world 3 get really spam heavy, not helped with the wonky audio mixing leading to some levels feeling a bit overwhelming with the amount of things going on, while there are towers that help with getting more pearls you cant place down clams yoursel…

Such a fun TD and the art of various potions are so cool

Very fun game. The core gameplay is top-notch. Nothing is left unclear to the player; tutorials are well made and natural. At times the gameplay feels hectic, but every part can be mastered by the one who is committed to it. My one worry is that the addition of new towers and areas may end up bloating the game, but it will still be fun either way. The music and graphics are really cool and I'm generally a fan of ocean aesthetics; however, the sound design has some flaws and may bother some players. P.S.: If you are a pro, turn on the two "no-healing" challenge settings in the options. P.P.S.: If you are not a pro, but are annoyed by barely hanging on til the end of a level...also do that. :)
