Orange Santa is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game templates and re-releasing them on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio templates he keeps re-releasing are just basic retro pixel (couldn't he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down/platformer stealth/action games. Orange Santa, developed and published by Anamik Majumdar, is a small-scale 2D platformer that mixes a festive premise with arcade-style action in a way that feels both quirky and uneven. On the surface, it presents itself as a light holiday-themed adventure, putting players in control of an unusual version of Santa tasked with preparing for Christmas. In practice, however, the game leans far more toward fast, combat-driven platforming than cozy seasonal exploration, resulting in an experience that feels a bit at odds with its own theme. The gameplay is built around a straightforward loop of moving through side-scrolling levels, collecting items, and dealing with enemies along the way. Each stage is structured as a self-contained challenge, filled with hazards such as spikes, moving threats, and enemy encounters that require quick reactions. The objective of gathering special coins to unlock and distribute gifts gives the game a loose sense of progression, but it functions more as a guiding mechanic than a deeply integrated system.
