The voice acting is good. The puzzles are broken and bad: very little feedback for the player. The death thing that chases you SOUNDS rad af, but looks dumb and has an attack animation that doesn't seem to make sense. Definitely can't reccommend this at this price. https://youtu.be/P-qwO5WFwcE16 found this helpful
Outliver: Redemption is a badly made Unreal based 3D rendered top down adventure/action game as you march forward through samey low poly environments being chased by Death, who catches you and so then you can stop playing this crap game. The quality of the implementation here is so deplorably low I suspect this may be some kind of joke. It's really, really bad. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise P…5 found this helpful
Just received the game from a friend and wanted to try it out. I'm very disappointed. First of all the keybinding are strange and not customizable. No tutorial or explanation whatsoever, you gotta figure it out on your own, and this is one of the biggest miss on this kind game. The man that you are controlling is super slow even when it's supposed to run, especially from skeleton that want to kill you. You have no way to attack them, at least until you get one item, but it's quite far into the game. You have to solve riddles but you will spend a lot of time going forward and backward on the same path and riddle. This has mostly to do with the speed of the character. The graphic is pretty bad even on "epic" settings, where i would say it's barely decent. Also it's extremely battery draining, and i cannot see why considered that the graphics are still pretty low quality. I know it's from an indie studio, but in my opinion it's not worthy it's price or your time.4 found this helpful
